Okay thats a little higher than I would've wanteda nd 3 years is also pushing it. But honestly not trading any assets for Kovalchuk and giving up is a good move. Allows our young guys to play in positions that are more comfortable positions and not having to rely on them for offense.

I have been so wrong about so much recently.

It’s a year too long, but Kovalchuk clearly wanted at least 3 years. I guess we’ll see how this pans out. Once the Doughty raise begins in 19/20, our cap is going to be incredibly tight.

I’m honestly shocked he signed here. Blake said he was dead set on a scoring winger, and he followed through. Impressed.

Does this guarantee Voynov’s return? You have to think that Voynov was in Kovalchuk’s ear about the Kings org. The two have been teammates in Russia for three years now.
