Boyle to Detroit would be such a standard Red Wings move. They really need defensemen and they love bringing in old guys trying to win a Cup before they retire.

And they lack right-handed D, something Babcock constantly complains about. And Boyle is the closest reminder to Brian Rafalski in league history. And and and...

OR, he could take the three and maybe even four-year deal that's being offered now and cash out without waiting.

I'd take Boyle for one year, but it's just not happening.

No way in hell that anybody gives a 38-year old 4 years. Even 3 years I'd say won't happen.

Two is possible and I think if any true contender offered him 2 he'd be in the bag. 1 year would not surprise me at all.

Off topic... But I have not thought about rafalski in a while. And first thing that comes to mind is that Olympic performance in 2010...

What a way to close out your international play.

But, I think that's skimping. Not terrible though.

Question of Sutter as well. Him or Goc. Could put Komarov in their and take out one of Megna, Gibbons, Sill.

Wow, kinda impressed. I would go Sutter and give gim 3.5. Get PL3 in the 4th line for some size and some people will lose it for Beauner in the T6, but considering we got Paul Statsny not bad. My only question, why not get Kesler for cheaper ($$$ wise) and do the same thing? We get a guy who has more 2-Way play and is a 1PKer. As well as Maatta cant start the year.

Why are we making Malkin a full time winger so Paul Stastny can play 2nd line center? We could just actually get a winger for Sid and Geno instead.

Or try Statsny on wing. I don't think Malkin will like being on wing at all (full time).

Why would Stastny want to come here to play wing when he can play 2C on many other contenders? St Louis, Chicago, Anaheim, etc.

Stastny to Pittsburgh doesn't make a ton of sense.

Took the words right off of my keyboard  I have no understanding of why people feel the urge to pencil in Malkin as a winger.

Not a huge fan of Kulemin or Bennett in the top 6.
