Yeah, Neal for Sharp has to be the most pointless trade I've seen proposed in a while. Good lord. Does nothing for us and doesn't do much for Chicago either. It's like a random video game trade made just for the hell of making a trade.

It's not even a credible rumor, but it said involving Neal for Sharp. Not necessarily Neal for Sharp straight up.

This time, I will try something completely different. Yeah, its probably totally unrealistic. But because I have no clue who could play on our 4th line, I just put together the Top 9 I would LIKE to see. Again, not saying this will happen, just playing around. Of course Maata and Pouliot will be injured at the start of the season, it could be Harrington, Dumoulin or maybe both. Not that much cap space left, but it should be possible to assemble a 4th line that won´t be as lousy as it was this season. I have not looked into the D parings....

I dont' understand what's so complicated to understand. If they're set on Kane moving, they're not getting a better player than Neal in return. And they need to win now. So draft picks and maybes won't interest them. Neal gives them a guy who could fit in very well with MS and on their 1st unit as the trigger man. Easily put up 30 in that situation. Which is more than Kane ever has in a Jets uniform.

From out perspective. We need to get tougher up front. And our third best forward simply needs to be able to do something on his own for us to win come playoffs. A legit power forward next to Sid for the rest of his prime? Hell yes.

He's not nearly as old as Boyle either. Nikitin is 28, Boyle is 38 (or will be to start the season).

The Sharks didn't sign him because he wants a multi-year deal. I would buy that we could get him for cheap on a 2 year deal, but not a 1 year. I think he is either going to get something like 1/4.5 or 2 yr/6 mil.

OR, he could take the three and maybe even four-year deal that's being offered now and cash out without waiting.

I'd take Boyle for one year, but it's just not happening.

No one is going to give him 4 years. I highly doubt anyone will give him 3 yrs.
