Turris and Alfie need to go on a break Ross and Rachel style. Ok maybe not Ross and Rachel style but for a few games. Slot Stone in with Turris see if it works.

There is a square peg forced into a round hole on every line no matter what you do.

If I'm Maclean (and I am), I roll some pre-determined lines for the first 10 minutes then create a line with 3 players who actually look like they might put a puck in the net (if they are lucky to have 3).

My guess is that Silfverberg-O'Brien-Condra will be the breakthrough line tonight. 0 goals.

So what do you see as the line combos with Spezza and 9MM back? What about if everyone was healthy?

Seeing the Silfverberg-Zibanejad-Neil line looking so good makes me wonder about who gets on the Spezza/Michalek line? Is it Latendresse? Or does Lats and Spezz on the same line just move too slow and get scored on too much? I love Lats and Spezza together on the PP, but it worries me, even with, say Condra, on the wing, about their defense. ANd Alfie and Lats and Turris is a good line, as is Alfie/Turris/Smith...

I wonder about Spezza between Silf and Zibby now? Both have improved so much the last 20 games.

He's got to pick it up, but the alternatives don't look so hot. You figure for Alfie's last year that Murray sniffs around come the trade deadline. Maybe Jaromir Jagr?

Conacher-Turris-Alife would be one of the smallest forward lines in the league. Speedy as hell though...

This is also how I feel. Conacher supposedly played his best hockey with Lecavalier and Purcell -- I think that he'll look good with Zibanejad and Silfverberg.

Latendresse-Turris-Alfie
Conacher-Zibanejad-Silfverberg

this, conacher is more of a playmaker, perfect for shooters like silf and zibby, he goes to traffic areas too apparently, good for rebounds. Lats with turris is good as well, turris played well with alfie and lats in the beginning of the season, although he was a second line center

I really REALLY think Maclean should test out Conacher with Silfverberg and Zibanejad. There's a chance there's too much inexperience on that line, but in my opinion their playing styles suit each other so well.

I'd like to see:

Current (Pre Spezza/Cowen/Michalek)

Latendresse-Turris-Alfredsson
Conacher-Zibanejad-Silfverberg
Greening-Smith-Condra
Hoffman-O Brien-Neil
Kassian
Regin

Methot-Gryba
Wiercioch-Gonchar
Phillips-Benoit

Anderson
Lehner

Healthy (No Karlsson)
Conacher-Spezza-Silfverberg
Michalek-Turris-Alfredsson
Greening-Zibanejad-Condra
O Brien-Smith-Neil

Methot-Gryba
Wiercioch-Gonchar
Cowen-Phillips
Benoit

I kinda think this actually gives Hoffman a chance to play with Spezza and 9mm next season.
