No love for Collberg was expected Forsberg is the better choice in a top 6, top 9 role, but Aberg? Outrageous! :shakehead

Yeah Booooo! is all I have to say.

Tom Nilsson from Mora was a surprise, but in my very limited wieving he looks pretty good. Tough guy that can play, also shoots right.

I'm biased but I think it a really bad choice, Collberg outplayed both players in the U18 quarterfinal. Forsberg played really good, but Collberg gets more done and can also play in checking role which I doubt Forsberg would excel in.

I like Collberg and think he should be on the team, but to be honest he has played 4 games with swedens j-18-team and scored 0 point. Forberg had 2+1 in 4 games, Ã…berg 6+6 in 9 games. No matter how good you are, you got to deliver when you get the chance for the national team. Ã…berg has done nothing but delivering, but still don't get the chance. :shakehead

Pontus Ã…berg with 1+2 so far with 1 period to go in the j20-semifinals, involved in all of Dif's goals.

Just to clarify I was talking about Forsberg and Rask, not Ã…berg which I agree with you about.

Canada beats the USA 2-1 in exhibition play at the U-18s in Dresden Germany.

Daniel Catenacci scores winner in the third period for the win. Other scorers were Brett Ritchie for Canada and Rocco Grimaldi for the USA.

One would think that having Yakupov, Grigorenko, Shalunov and Kucherov among others is enough fire-power to challenge most teams, or at least Switzerland, Slovakia and Germany in Group-A, no?

I know that some big names were left out, but perhaps the goal was to assemble a better two-way team with only few star players, similarly to the WJC's? Or is the system really so corrupt that friendships and perhaps even money are a major factor in these selections? How many of the players on that squad look totally out of place?

The truth is that Russian D corp is the worst I have seen on any Russian national team ever. Just awful.

USA/Finland are playing an exhibition game right now.

It's 1-0 USA in the 1st period.

As expected, Rocco Grimaldi has the goal for Team USA.

Ryan Haggerty makes it 2-0. 1st intermission.
