He and McD got worked hard last night. Might be resting him a little till the 3rd to give him more time for the end of the game.

Even when Hedman is in, Girardi doesn't usually break into the top three for TOI. He might technically be on the first pair, but he's never really gotten top pairing minutes.

True. I just get easily frustrated when we take a penalty.

Pretty quiet game at this point in my opinion. If we can just stick to the fundamentals and get out of there with the two points, I will be pleased. No Hedman, Vasi, or Point and we still come away with the 2 points... what's not to like. Not going to get my undies in a bunch nitpicking little things in the second half of a back to back where we're missing 3 of our 5 superstars.

If anything this game really shows us how important Point is, Johnson is not a replacement for him.

I don't want to say "trade Johnson" but if we're tight on budget...

I like Johnson but I expect him to be gone before his no-trade kicks in July 1 (but not until after we win the Cup). Just a fact of cap life.
