If i am not mistaken, at the olympics teams can dress 7 Dman. If team USA wants a specialist on the PP Krug may get the call.

One has to think that Yandle and Shattenkirk should have a solid hold on the offensive defender portion.

It's a possibility, but I just don't see it.

I agree about Crosby being the best offensive player in the game but despite his goal tonight,he never seems to be against the Bruins. I watch every Bruin game throughout the year but only rarely watch other games,so I never see Crosby tear it up against other teams. I always come away with the feeling that this guy is no better than Krejci or Bergeron, I know the overall stats don't support that view but I can't help feel that way.

Playoff Krejci is better IMO. (The points he has put up in the playoffs under CLAUDE. So yeah.)

Edit: Yes I am not kidding.

Kelly. Seriously man. You were just standing there. If it had went to the guy at the top of the circles you wouldn't have got there either. You had NOBODY.

You were watching the puck in the corner while Crosby stood behind you unmarked. We're burying Spooner for this garbage?

Should've buried Crosby with 2-3 seconds left and just eaten the 2 minute penalty.

Thanks, Mommy.

Isn't that what you referred to another poster as during a discussion in the Eriksson-Seguin thread? Here's an idea, why don't you apply some of your rules about manners to yourself as well as others?

K, thanks.

That was me, I'm his mum, so you're obviously my grandchild! :handclap:

Edit: Ah, read the rest of your discussion. I guess we're not related, but you should've referred to him as Cindy's mummy in the first post. Nice burn on the Nova Scotia part, though!

Most people here watch these games religiously and can tell how well people are playing with the eye test, so I just don't get the infatuation with points. It's one thing if a player is consistently shanking opportunities, but Bergeron not putting up points tonight (and many other nights) should in no way be viewed as a detriment to how people perceive how he's playing.

I think it may have had to do with how a lot of people saw good things from Loui with the eye test, but a lot of people (including you if I'm not completely mistaken) did not, and a few of those people used stats (even stats compared to Seguin's production in Dallas, which is even more irrelevant) as a reason for why Loui obviously sucks and we should be happy we got Smith because otherwise it would've been the worst trade ever.

Shattenkirk, Suter, McDonaugh, Leddy, Yandle, Fowler, E. Johnson, Bogasian, Orpik are probably ahead of him. But based just on this season he's in the 5-7 range

Would be cool if he could make it (though i wish olympics were under 21 personally)

In any case, if the Olympics were to be a "world under 21" tournament, then not many would care.

If you could please put me on your ignore list, that would be great.

No thanks, I like having a little comedy mixed in with my hockey. It so makes me feel better about myself when I read your posts. Kind of like the HF version of Cops.

If you put ME on ignore, you won't have to read my responses to your intellectually-challenged posts, so there is that.

 love him.

So, there's no need to actually hold the vote for 7th player, right? Just give Krug his Kia Sorrento now.

Carl Soderberg and Reilly Smith both say hello and mention how much they would like a Kia Sorrento

1) B's fans saw what Krug was capable of in the PO's last year, so while it is a surprise to many that he has been able to maintain that level of play, we knew he was talented enough.

2) Soderberg has been a revelation. Based on what he showed last year when he came over, I can't imagine that anyone thought he would be this good, this quickly.

3) Smith, too most, was one of the "throw ins" with Loui in the Segs deal. Even worse, there were a lot of people at the time of the trade that had him listed as third amongst the prospects. He has shown that he can play Top 9 on a good team in the NHL and some now think he was the best player we got (I'm not one of those).

Any of those three would be worthy winners right now, but lots of hockey left. If I was biting today, I would probably go with Smith.

I'm not trying to single you out, but why is it when Eriksson would have a solid game, but not get on the board, his detractors would try to say he wasn't playing well..but when he does play well AND puts up points, we are told that other players (in this case Bergy) are more/just as responsible for the success of the line??

Not sure I understand this?

Yes you do. You've been here long enough...

I would make it 23 that way it would include some young NHL guys and AHL/college players.

I doubt Krug makes it-he is still IMO too green although if stays at this pace and stays near the top of the defensive leader board he may make them find a place or he becomes one of the last few cuts. I would love to see him play on the larger ice though.

I'd rather have the best hockey possible. 2010 was a serious treat

I totally agree with you on Soderberg. I could see glimpses of his talent last year (in admittedly limited opportunities), but he is playing at a much different level this year. Been really impressed with the way his game has improved and how quickly he's adjusted to the NHL game.

I'm not sure any of the three will win the Kia, since so many fans seem to think it's a vote for your favorite player, rather than for the one exceeding expectations. I am just going to enjoy the fact that we have multiple players we can realistically talk about as contenders for the coveted Kia. I'm going to enjoy it.

Not sure Leddy, Fowler, EJ or Bogo are locks. J Johnson and J Carlson will be in the mix too, lots of talent there and Krug still has to be considered a long shot, but nice to hear his name mentioned.
