Khoko needs another year in the AHL, I think Spooner is clearly ahead of him on the depth chart.

A lot of people would disagree. I thought Spooner had a good game, but he probably should have had 5 goals. Pastrnak and Paille were good tonight, but Spoons had the better linemates in Kelly and Griff (at least tonight).

Personally, I like them both. Spooner is definitely faster in open ice and space, but I like KoKo's board work and play in traffic better.

Claude said it was one of the best games Spooner has played...hopefully good things to come. I'll bet he gets a game in tomorrow as well.

I like Subban alot. Kind of reminds me of Timmy. Lightning quick reflexes

I like Subban a lot as well, but I don't see Thomas at all. The thing that impressed me the most tonight about him was his positioning and his lack of wasted movement. He did not see a bunch of the in close shots, but his positioning was so good and he was making himself so big, he didn't need to see them.

Looked really sound to me, and taller for some reason.

Is that a criticism of Spooner? Should be a compliment.

Yeah, I'd want them BOTH on the team.

I like Koko's tenacity and cerebral game but I think based on team needs, Spooner is still a better fit right now. No knock on Koko, he's only had one year in the AHL and another won't hurt.

I think Koko's game would be better suited to work his way up from the 4th and I'd rather play him there over Campbell... That pass to Paille was sexy.

Didn't see the game but just watched the goal highlights. WOW, Koko's assist on Paille's goal was absolutely nasty.

Smith's goal and Spooner's second were also great goals.

Who were the standouts tonight? Seems like Spooner and Subban were two judging from previous posts.

As Glenn Ordway would say..."MH, you are makin' my point!"

I agree, KoKo is better suited to work his way up from the 4th line, and after the B's re-up Soderberg, that 4th line may be the only way to get to the Top 6 (ala Marchand a few years back).

Thought Spooner looked pretty good on LW tonight, but the B's dominated except when they were short-handed, so we didn't get to see much work on the boards. Spooner did have a real active stick, but most of his D plays were in the middle of the ice or NZ.

I hope the Bruins Brass rethink their assessment of Ryan Spooner. I thought he made the team with his recent play.

Caron is useless. He can't score, can't fight. Does he make the best home-style fried chicken on the team for Julien to keep around?

The Bruins have a few hard decisions to make in the next few days. I think Boychuk is gone by next week. Chiarelli has to keep Hamilton, Krug, Soderberg and Smith after next year. We can't afford him and I don't want to see Boychuk walk for nothing.

At the very least I hope he gets another game at LW. I'd like to see him with Soderberg and whoever is going to play RW on that line. We could use his PP zone entries and speed.

It'll be interesting what they do with Koko, do you keep him as a fourth line center while Soderberg is on the team? If he works out there it gives you crazy team depth if another center gets hurt.

Caron obviously makes the best poutine on the team

I think KoKo goes down and probably Spooner and Griffith as well, although 51's play at LW tonight could open up some options for him.

I think the opening lineup should look like this:

17-46-18
63-37-12
25 (51)-34-21
20-23-61/64/38

Campbell dealt.

Smith up with 46 and 17, give DK some speed and a guy that will shoot (along with Looch).

Bergeron can make anyone (even an aging Gagne) look good.

Personally, I like Spooner better than Fraser, but Stone Clode may disagree. Fraser definitely needs a play-maker to facilitate his shooting and I like him on his natural wing. Spooner can create his own offense, and I would really like to see a dynamic skater like him with Yeti.

Put Paille and Kelly on the 4th and you can plug a bunch of different guys in there, depending on the type of team you are playing.

Send Spooner, Koko, Griffith down to join Ferlin and Knight in PRO and have the five of them move in with Pandolfo and eat/sleep/**** three zone hockey 24/7 until it becomes 2nd nature and they can seamlessly incorporate it with their offensive games.

really liked Spoons game. He was a threat almost every shift. Koko was very impressive out there, made a lot of very heady plays in the offensive zone. Very impressed by his hockey IQ. I also thought that Pastrnak played a good game. Definitely need some more bulk tho.

Subban was pretty damned solid...I honestly think that he has outplayed Svedberg thus far. Kid is good.

Smitty...well that was just unfair.

I would like to see Subban as the backup and let him play every game against Montreal.

Spooner playing with Yeti could be an interesting combination.

Why not Spooner-Soderberg-Fraser if Eriksson stays up with Krejci Lucic?

That puts both Spooner and Fraser in positions to succeed and Soderberg is gives two pretty good weapons to work with.

Agreed, he seems to remain extremely calm under intense pressure. There were a couple of moments tonight where you would see the average nhl caliber goalie get jumpy where he just seemed to wait that extra amount of time before he bit.

It was impressive.

Even when he got run he never stopped tracking the puck.

I'd be pretty happy with that lineup. Not sold on Gagne, but he probably is the best fit not named Griffith for Bergy and Marchand. He hasn't been healthy in years so I'll hold back any Recchi comparisons. We'll probably see that line tomorrow.

I like Fraser but as a 13th forward. In a pinch he'd be a better option than Caron.

A fourth line of Paille-Kelly-Robins could be Merlot 2.0, lots of potential there.

Just got home from the game....my 1st one.

Griffith, Spooner, Soderberg looked great. Subban too.

I even got to see the flying stick hit Griffith right in front of me.

Good to see Smith & Krug back with the team too. Fun game.
