I'm not mad at all no matter what happens this season because we all knew we won't win many games. But one thing that we need to evolve out of over time is our timid and pressure-less d-zone play. Watching the oilers feed, the commentators keep mentiong we have close to the most blocked shots in the league. Thats because all our system really allows is getting hemmed in the d-zone and endure a constant shooting gallery. We make it far too easy for our opponents to reach pucks first and move it around unscathed.
Our game plan seems to be, get hemmed in, hope to the skies they don't score and hope to cash in on our very few chances we get a game. Again, I'm not an angry fan, but I'm hoping that at some point someone within our organization will recognize this and fix it when the time comes. We have to build a solid foundation of smart play at some point.
