Make no mistake....this was a critical 2 points the Devils had to have.

In fact, they have to have 2 points basically the rest of the way but tomorrow is the dreaded backend-of-a-back2back which the Devils SUCK DONG at.

But we'll see...

Maybe the more "conservative" way they've been playing (focusing more on Defense) could help them out tomorrow?

Holtz out, tierney in next game.

I'm joking, but also,

Maybe he could use a breather? I don't think ruff is going to sit there other two
I think the 11-7 is far more likely with Smith coming back lol, we know Lindy likes to push that button and unless you hook Bahl I'm not sure any defenseman deserves to come out after the last two games.

Hatakka might be the secret sauce that makes the Timo Meier trade well worth it.

nothing really happened with them on the ice. 0 shots for and 2 against with 1 going in the back of the net but most times. 0% makes them look like they were cratered but they were just doing cardio.
Bastian was 0-9 corsi
Nosek 0-8.
Holtz 1-11.

Seattle reminds me of the early Shero/Hynes years. Fairly speedy team lacking high end skill. Better overall roster, but lacking a Taylor Hall.

I’m pretty sure we’ve never lost a regulation game to them.

I think we’re now 3-0-0 against them at home and 4-0-2 against them overall.

I think we lost a shootout to them in 2022 @ Seattle and lost in OT to them last year on a deflected goal past Blackwood that wasn’t actually deflected.

mostly from the outside. the lines xg for was 0 and xg against was 0.085. they didn't generate anything which sucked but they weren't some liability. I think it'd be best for Lazar to be the center with Bastian and Nosek but until Jack is back at center that probably won't happen. either way the way Nosek has played this season it'd be hard to see a 4th line with him generate much offensively -- kind of always stuck in transition at best

Hadn't considered that, you're totally right.
