Probably weather related, Super Bowl hang over, etc.
I’m not sure the late 2010s Devils teams were much of a draw in cities like Anaheim or Denver in those days. That’s pretty much the equivalent.

I would say Calgary, Edmontom, Vancouver, but those buildings were probably auto sell outs, even when those teams weren’t doing so well.

Unless you’re an Adam Larsson super fan, Seattle is probably gonna be one of the weaker draws of the season.

Joke Arizona was at least game two of the season.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Nashville and St. Louis have similarly underwhelming draws this year, if we play them on weeknights. I haven’t even checked to see what night of the week they roll through on.

If Seattle were actually a particularly competitive team this season and/or this game was on a weekend (like last year’s home game against them) I’m sure it would have been close enough to a sell out.

Didn’t get to watch but seems like they again played a tighter game.

Absolutely mind-f***ing-boggling that this guy was allowed to piss away months. Professional courtesy, okay, whatever, let him coach until Thanksgiving or December. It’s February.
I'm wondering if it's too little, too late at this point.

Monday. Night after the Super Bowl. Middle of February. That enters into attendance too I would think.
I just thought it was note worthy. 1st time all year paid attendance dropped under 15,000. It's pretty disappointing but, so has the team. Winning more and it won't be an issue. Suck and not get out of their own way. Except more and more of that. Especially against a non-discript opponent.

Only 14,577 tonight. The sucking and sucking at home has gotten to our fickle fans.

its middle of feb and your facing an out of conference meh level team. part of the reason out of conference play is so stupid IMO. or at least find a way to limit it to the first half of the season.

So so quiet on here when they win

usually when they win a game like this everyone gets excited only for them to falter the next game. but with no vitek i have faith they start their run here.

I have to imagine Monday night games are the least attended of any night during the week. Especially the day after Super Bowl Sunday, which tends to be a late night for all.

Maybe this will help:
-Nico is a glorified 3C
-Trade Timo in the offseason for Ryan Andersen
-Lane Hutson will have more career points that Casey will have games played
-Extend Lindy for 5 years

Embrace debate!
I'm worried if the Devils play well down the stretch, that last part is extremely plausible.

But I guess if they play well....that's good, right? Right?! Is it good I don't know anymore!
