Can't remember who played with Keon so can't comment there, maybe Ellis, not sure though so the first one that comes to mind is Sittler and McDonald.

From the same era. Salming and Turnbull on D.

Gilmour and Andreychuk.

Matthews/Marner or Matthews/Marner/Hyman is the best ever though.

Unfortunately Keon never was blessed with great wingers other than Ellis for a bit
He had players like Terry Martin later in his career lol
By the way i Was a big fan of Ronnie Ellis
Sure could use him on our 3rd line today

Milton
Locks:

Matthews
Marner
Tavares
Nylander
Hyman
Mikheyev
Kerfoot
Simmonds

These 8 are locks.

Engvall is my 9th. With his active stick, size and ridiculous speed I value his defence and potential over some of the older players and right now is more mature then the rookies.

Robertson however is my 10th because I think his shot and speed and potential bring more upside to a top 6 role then Vesey or Joe but that has to be tested.

The next 2 come down to who is in form...

For me right now that's Boyd and Spezza with Petan right there as well.

When healthy Jumbo is my 13th forward because he was clearly brought in for a reason but I don't value him in a top line role like some people are. And honestly it seems absurd to me.

Hyman-Matthews-Marner
Robertson-Tavares-Nylander
Mikheyev-Kerfoot-Engvall
Spezza-Boyd-Simmonds
13th - Joe
14th - Petan

Next in line: Joey Anderson.

Ok captain Obvious lol
Can’t go wrong with that , if they continue , they might be one of the all time greatest ever in the NHL

On a side note , I like Hyman a lot in fact he’s one of my favourites, but I would love to see Robertson on the left side one day and Hyman on the second line

Haha Terry Martin, that name rings a bell. No wonder I couldn't remember who Keon played with LOL.

IIRC Ellis was the guy who shut down Kharlamov in the 1972 summit series though I think Clark might have done a number on his ankle first so not sure how much credit to give Ellis there. Still, he was obviously a very excellent player to even make that team in the first place.

1. Horton Stanley
2. Salming Turnbull
3. Macoun Rouse

3 different eras but 3 dominate all round shutdown dmen

Since then we have squat crap until this year

Every time I watch a replay of those early 90s leafs the guy who stands out most to me is Bobby Rouse.

He's like the original Justin Holl. Big, mobile, aggressive.

Lefebvre got all the credit on those dcorps but for my money Rouse was the guy.

Big men D control da game always have always will ... I wish Holl had a mean streak like Rousy (that guy would carve ur eye out if you went to his net - same with Macoun) ... same as Horton

The Hound Line, Clark-Courtnall-Leeman was so much fun when I was a kid when the Leafs themselves were no fun at all. Even had their own video and everything. Name came from them all playing for the Notre Dame Hounds junior A team in Saskatchewan but also described their style too - fast and aggressive.
