The case to make that the Big Ten is better is that every time we get to the playoff, the Big 12 gets their doors blown off, until proven otherwise. The best teams are still the best teams, this is a very top-heavy sport.

uhm outside of 2014, Big ten teams have gotten the doors blown off of them against the worst teams. Can't believe i'm defending OU but anyone was getting blown out by the 2019 LSU.

Alabama VS Michigan State - 38-0
Clemson vs Ohio State 31-0
Georgia Vs Michigan 34-11
Alabama vs Ohio State - 52-24

Oklahoma vs Clemson 17-37
Georgia vs Oklahoma 54-48 (2OT)
LSU Vs Oklahoma 62-23

Hell Iowa State beat a team that was in contention to play for the big ten title game until this weekend and they finished last in the big 12.

However, big 12 is most likely going to be god awful next year

Simply not true. They always mean something, that’s why the SEC always has someone in the championship game who can afford a loss there. Cincinnati needed to build their resume over 2 years to get in.
No they didn't. Cincy got in last year because they went undefeated, played a solid non-conference schedule, and beat some ranked teams in a better year for the American. The SEC has been unequivocally the best football conference for close to two decades now, so while there have been some years where they got an extra team in that was questionable(both when it was the BCS and the playoff format) normally that team's overall body of work(especially in a conference usually not filled with powder puffs most years) has been able to get them in. The Big 10, after OSU's win 8 years ago, has won exactly 1 game in the playoff(and then Ohio St. was steamrolled by Bama). Ohio St. had their chance to show they were a top 4 team, and blew it badly.

USC wins and they are in, OSU is out.

USC win and a TCU loss, TCU is out.

USC loss and a big TCU loss, 'Bama backs in.

Can...can someone explain to me why Utah gets to be in the PAC-12 championship over Washington?
They lost one more game, same record vs. conference but didn't play each other.

Edit: read an article. Guess it boiled down to strength of schedule in-conference. ? Idk man.

Rose Bowl figuring out that while they may not be the Granddaddy of the all, it’s better than being the Alamo Bowl.
