We'd need to make a move on D to make room for Santini first, or carry 8 and scratch 2 of them every night.
I'm okay with Santini in the AHL right now.

Hopefully he comes back, plays in a proper role and improves like Miles Wood has, the next time we see him. I think this has more to do with the role he was played in earlier this year, being too much to handle for him. He was fine when played in a lesser role last year.

Honestly, I almost think that he might actually be better than Lovejoy in that same role, corsi stats be damned, but I wouldn't wanna try it with this current (lack of) goaltending that we've been suffering through, no pun intended.

Moore needs to go, he won't be here next year. See if we could get a 2nd rounder for him, no matter what. Playoff spot or not.

Lovejoy shouldn't be here next year. His presence is too much to tempt Hynes from reaching into the cookie jar. Hynes benched him at first, but once Hynes got enough of him and some of that novocaine, it caused a full-blown relapse and he's here to stay in the lineup.

I'd love to know what Hynes rationale was in saying ''We're scratching Lovejoy'' early in the season, then what's changed to get him back in there. And I hope to god it wasn't ''Well, this is a development year, let's play the kids!'' when he scratched him to ''We're playing to win now! Playoffs! Lovejoy helps us with that! Vet presence!''.

Some of the personnel decisions in the waning minutes were highly questionable. Stafford in the last minute? PP was abysmal as well. Fire Ward.

Also they really over-played Lovejoy tonight. It's really sad he is getting minutes over Santini.

I don't get why we're picking on Hynes' presser tonight. Yeah a seventh d-man ****ed up the first goal, a third goalie ****ed up the second one and a guy who should be a fourteenth forward ****ed up the last one, other than that they did out play the Bruins. He's gotta try to point out the positive cause you can't constantly beat on them when they're obviously gonna beat on themselves after giving away another winnable game.

The difference in body language and mental toughness pre and post offsides goal fiasco games is night and day. They have not recovered from that late December/early January robbing of three wins courtesy of the most incompetent North American professional sports league.

This is the same team that was down three goals to Chicago and came back to a score 7 and win. The same team that grinder out several wins early on despite poor performance. The same team whose power play was top 10 in the league for three months.

They are a young team that got f ucked with mentally by the league repeatedly in the worst fashion possible, being led by a past his prime lazy vet captain and a coaching staff that doesn’t belong in the NHL, not to mention getting anchored down by plugs like Stafford and even Zajac in the absence of two important forwards. On top that they have a completely incompetent goalie in net. Overcoming these obstacles would be a Herculean effort from a team this young and inexperienced.

Only Mueller played less than Lovejoy tonight.

I think you're right. I was the first one to laugh at his presser, but I think that was unfair of me. I do stand by the other trash that I've hurled at him though. I think that was overreaching though.

And I'm pissed off at them as anyone. But you can't harp on the negative ALL the time if you're the coach. We can do it as fans cause we're emotional but coaches have to know when to be emotional and when not to be. He did point out the horrendous PP which is worth tagging for sure.

Might just be his presence triggering my brain, but it seemed like he was a lot when we tied in the 3rd period.

He looked terrible on one shift (Vatanen was the other D-man out at that time) and totally lost the guy at the front of the net, which Lack made a save on. That's when I pointed out his absurd on-ice save percentage, because the goalies somehow come up with a save on his gaffes for two years in a row.

Then it was him and Greene out there and just running around struggling on the shift where the game winner was scored. Zajac was out there too and Zajac isn't having a good year, he's not what he usually is defensively. When I see him out there with Greene, I suddenly don't feel confident this year.

It kind of just reminded me of a Pete presser in the dark days. I was getting flashbacks to some of his pressers, when we'd outshoot a team and lose.

He was 4th among defensemen in the 3rd, Greene was 5th.

The teams below us must be like ''Dude! Look how badly the Devils are falling! And we can't even pass them! What the hell man!''. Although the Blue Jackets have put themselves in a good position to do so, after beating us last night. This was our game in hand on them....

Frickin Gorton and Sather are gonna be changing their minds on blowing it up and selling, if this keeps up.

I think I know why they seemed like they were on the ice so much in the 3rd.

Because it seemed like at least one of them was on the ice for damn near every Bruins shot on goal on the 3rd period, not including the shot on goal into the empty net.

Felt bad for Lack, I thought he got the raw end of the deal overall. He didn’t make smartest of plays on occasion, but he certainly didn’t have the help of his teammates at times either. I still couldn’t believe Stafford on that last one.
