Wasn't a great game for either team. Calgary kept getting momentum from Smith's big saves. Mackinnon was buzzing in that third period but Smith closed the door.

Atleast the hate is on, looking for a better game from both sides in G2.

What a dumb comment. I was mainly referring to the clowns who dont watch the game looking at 4-0 and thinking the Flames dominated the game. The Avs do not have the depth...yet to play with the big boys in the West, but the Flames looked anything but impressive tonight. They will likely get past the Avs in 5 or 6, but will also get pounded by whoever they get next round. Easily the worst "top seed" we've seen in years.

Special teams the difference. The Avs had all the momentum when they got their 3 PPs at the end of the 1st and to start the 2nd. If they score there it's a totally different game.

And not only that. If Smith falters, I was told all of. December and January and February that Rittich is also a goalie capable of taking a team on a deep playoff run so the flames are good either way.

Was close, but the Flames were better at 5 on 5 and actually capitalized on their pp for once and had a great pk. Game 2 will be interesting for sure.

Avs played with the Flames. Very even game. Mike Smith was the difference and if he somehow can continue this I can see the Flames going all the way. That was an unbelievable performance by him.
