Is there anyone even close to being in the same league when it comes to scoring clutch goals in dramatic fashion?

I wonder where Tarasenko will eventually go down among Blues forwards. Should be an interesting discussion as his career plays out.

I think he'll be right up there with other Blues greats such as Timofei Shishkanov and Trent Whitfield.

#2 behind Hull.

I mean, if he stays with St. Louis his whole career and plays well the whole time he could maybe be in discussion for #1.

Maybe the more interesting discussion is where he could fall among St. Louis greats. Cardinals have a ton of them and the Rams have the Greatest Show on Turf era. That would be a fun debate to rank the top 10-20 St. Louis sports players.

Whenever the Post does those types of rankings, Blues players are fairly low due to the "popularity of the sport" factor. If we are voting here only, then I bet we see a similar factor but heavier weighting in hockey.

If he wins a cup he will go down as #1. If he doesn't I could see him placed behind names like Hull, Macinnis, and Federko.

Agreed. Obviously the list would have a lot of Cards on it, for both being all-time greats, but also having team success. The interesting comparison is how do the tier after Hull stack up against some of the Greatest Show on Turf guys. Some of them get overrated by mainstream because it's football. We'd overcompensate here, but it would be an interesting roundtable discussion.

Lol I love hearing random Blues names from the past. I haven't heard the name Trent Whitfield in a long time, holy crap. He was even better than Mike Glumac!
