This is the time of year I really wish we had a dedicated beat writer with some connections. The Thrashers old writer pretty much sucked, too.
That is just silly. The Predators are 13-4-3 against the central and it is known as being one of if not the best division in hockey. Way to small of a sample siz ehtough as far as I'm concerned...

Agree with this- and I would also like to see some other top teams records against the "elite" teams. Because you aren't usually going to have a dominant record against the top teams.
Poile was on 104.5, yesterday, before the game and was asked a question about possible trade deadline moves...
To summarize his response...
- Our Depth is good, but would like to possibly add a defenseman and maybe another depth forward.
- He is conscious of the team chemistry and what the coaches have done this year and how well the guys are playing; so he doesn't want to mess that up.
- In regards to a potential forward- top 2 lines are pretty good, so he is looking more for a player with some experience. If they had won a Stanley Cup already that would be lovely! The forward could be a PK guy or a specialist of somesort, not necessarily a pure skill or star player.

Interesting to hear what he had to say and what all he is looking for with all of the rumors and talk flying around.
Anaheim is
Chicago 1-2
San Jose 0-4
Nashville 2-0 (one OTSO win)
St. Louis 2-0
So against those 5 they’re 5-6

I went ahead and took the time to see what it looks like for all the teams and this is how they alll stack up.
Anaheim 10-9-2 (22 points out of 42) Point %52.4
St Louis 11-8-2 (24 points out of 42) Point %57.1
Nashville 5-7-6 (16 out of 36 points) Point %44.4
Tampa Bay 11-4-2 (24 points out of 34) Point %70.6
Detroit 7-4-3 (17 point out of 28) Point %60.7
Montreal 10-8-1 (21 points out of 38) Point %55.3
NY Islanders 13-8-0 (26 points out of 42) Point %61.9
Pittsburgh 9-7-4 (22 points out of 40) Point %55.0
NY Rangers 10-9-2 (22 points out of 42) Point %52.4
Chicago 13-6-1 (27 points out of 40) Point %67.5
San Jose 10-7-3 (23 points out of 40) Point %57.5
Calgary 8-11-2 (18 points out of 42) Point %42.9
So looking at all these teams stats vs each other you can see that only Calgary has a worse point percentage than Nashville. The one thing I would like to note however is the 4 skills competition losses the Preds have had in these games. That won't happen in the playoffs. If you go by these stats it will end up being a Chicago/Tampa Bay Stanley Cup final.

How many of those games did Hutton play? I can think of 4 off the top of my head, all losses.
I won't be thrilled if for some reason we pick up franson.

Toronto just traded two contracts for a pick, has to be a bigger trade coming soon. Uh oh.
