Do Flames need centers at all or a power forwards like Chris Kreider? I would give up our NYR 1st too in 2019, and since we more likely is a bottom team next year draft in 2019 it`s worth a lot more than Tampa Bay conditional draft pick. :)

Because our current D-core is worst in the league at the moment with usually 40 SOG or 50 SOG back to back games, and only Henrik amazing goal tending getting us points after the trade deadline.

We do need power forwards but not for Matthew Tkachuk.

Every flames fan saying they pass is hilarious. Tarasenko >>>>>>>>>>> Tkachuk. Flames take this all the way to bank and never look back.

Not a chance that the difference is close to that big.

And as mentioned the Flames are more than one player away, especially if we are giving up a guy like Tkachuk so all this does is make us slight better but not a contender, older and more expensive.

Flames fans are passing because it doesn't make sense for the team.

Tarensako is signed for 5 more years after this one I think. That seems like pretty good control. He is only 26.

Its not that great control, especially because there is zero reason for him to stay when that time is up.

Quite simply we need a pure sniper and to get a guy that can get us 40 goals we need to give to get. St Louis get's their hometown boy back and a great winger to pester opposition for years.

Trade Offer:
Flames get Tarensako, Barbeshev

St Louis get's Tkachuk, Frolik

Who would do this trade?

Counter:

To Calgary: Schwartz and Soshnikov

To St. Louis: Gaudreau and Jankowski

Don't know why so many here are saying St. Louis wouldn't make the trade. Have any of you people ever even heard of this Tarensako person? Probably doesn't even play in this league...

The Blues are putting their faith in the young guns of Vladi Tarensako and Vincenzo Arelliti (Link for reference: http://hfboards.mandatory.com/threads/mtl-st-louis.2447357/).

They might be relatively unknown, but they should make waves bigger than that of Lindros and McDavid combined.

Who the hell are these Lindros and McDavid fellows you speak of? Did you mean Lidros and McAvid? Because those guys are almost on the same level as Greatski.

Instead of being silly look at the Flames point of view and prospect pool. Once Tkachuk is plucked they have no one to replace the roster as up and comers. They are also rebuilding. Makes absolutely no sense for a Flames point of view and I’m a ducks fan.

Just stop... not even close.. Tkachuk is no where near worth a top 3 goal scorer in the game.

I don't know bud, a power forward that scores 30-35 is likely worth more than a 40-45 Tarasenko.
Plus, getting an affordable winger might enable St Louis to take a run at Tavares.

The Blues can't afford to part with BarbieKen in this deal. We're short on centers as is.
