just an FYI for everybody... that is just this guys opinion, and it's not fact.
Carrick is a decent young nhler. He will play the season with the leafs unless he gets traded to another NHL team. Liljegren is not a better option at the NHL level today, and will likely stay with the marlies all year to develop. He needs to do that before he can even "percolate". For those who like that term. But if he were NHL ready it would be Rosen looking for a new job as carrick is the same age as him but much better.
Another FYI.. this is just my opinion, but it's better then the one I'm quoting.

Wait? Did Michael Peca play in the AHL as an 18 year old? How come?

I expect Marincin to be really good in the AHL. He should be in the Kostka, Brennan mold. Too good for the AHL, can't maintain in the NHL.Marincin was really good, surprisingly so
If there's 3 junior aged defensemen not in the NHL who can do it, these 3 would all rank really highly.Imagine a Dahlin-Liljegren pairing at the WJC
If Sweden wants to win the WJC, those 2 and Brannstrom will have to carry that team
Anyone think he’d get called up for a game or two after Christmas?
Or are we still a long way away.

It's like a projection of what their point totals from a different league would look like in the nhl. So liljegren's play in the AHL projects to be the equivalent of a 31 point nhl seasonWhat's NHLe?
