Winnie the pooch. I've never seen a dog put up with as much shit from a toddler as she does. An absolute saint.

My parent's Boykin. She can't lay down without curling in her front paws like that, it never gets old.

That's her baseline gaze. She looks horrified at all times. She was definitely mistreated before we rescued her. Took her a long time to settle in.
Brutus looks guilty ALLL the time. I'll have to get a pic one of these times. Literally every time hime sits down he like...lazes so his head droops a little. It's hilarious

This is Bella. She's probably around 15 or 16 now. Rescued 3 years and change ago. Assuredly, she was a backyard breeding dog; supposedly, "ran away." She had mammary gland tumors when adopted; she had surgery, and they were benign. Now, she runs this town. She's very bossy.

Another photo of Nana along with my first cat Rain, who is also no longer with us. Nana was also a backyard breeder. Came to us at 8, developed a heart tumor and left us quickly at 10.

This is Zeus, our first dog. We got him when he was 6 and had him for 4.5 years.

Now you're making me feel lonesome.
Lost my Black Lab/Border Collie? mix in 2010, my Brown Lab/Chow bitch in 2012.
Then adopted a Corgi/Shepherd senior (10 years old) in 2016 and lost him in 2020.

All were sweethearts except the bitch, she was great with people but hell on anything with four legs except our male, was abandoned in the woods and thought every small animal was dinner.

Right now in an apartment where they don't allow dogs, at least real dogs (50+ lbs).

Someday we'll have a house again, and I have my heart set on a Husky and another Black Lab/Collie mix. Got to have a dog that'll howl at the moon with me.

I’m with ya Deady, I LOVE this thread but also making me sad. :(

But I will be ready soon to rescue a little sweetheart and give them a perfect life !!
