If grade school libraries had music, what bands should be banned to protect kid's taste? I'll take Bieber, Insane Clown Posse, and the Jonas Brothers for 500, Alex. ;)

P.S. The Civil War was fought from Vermont to New Mexico. Look it up.

Somewhere in Oregon.
Marilyn Manson.

Although I did see an interview with him once...way more intelligent and well-spoken than I would ever have imagined. Funny, too.

But I think he was drunk at the time.

I know that a number of ECHL teams have open tryouts. They guarantee at least 3 will go forward to full camp (goalie, D, F). I might imagine the Lights will allow 1-2 guys to go forward.

But you never know what you might find.

Never been to Las Vegas, but I'll be in town over Christmas from the 24th through the 27th.

Any suggestions for stuff to do or local restaurants?

Casinos aren't really my scene so suggestions more in town are welcome.

Christmas is going to be a tough time to avoid casinos. Where are you staying?

Rented house somewhere unknown and I'll have my own car so distance isn't a problem.

The Pinball Hall of Fame is pretty cool. It's a little weird, but always a good time.
You could do Red Rock Canyon if you want to hang out outside and the weather doesn't stink. Mt. Charleston if you'd prefer snow.
The Mob Museum is supposed to be a good time, I haven't personally visited yet.
Fremont East is pretty alright if you want to get drinks without the gambling. It's downtown, so it's gritty, but with a hipster early gentrification/renewal vibe.

Thanks! ;) Who do you guys like for the Baseball Hall of Fame? I like Chipper, Mussina, Schilling, and Whitaker.
I’m on the fence with Mike Mussina. When you have to start comparing who is already in that is comparable to him to make your argument, I don’t love it. I feel he’s one of those guys.

Like if he actually was a Cy Young winner or World Series winner, instead of “almost”, i would probably be on his side with my non existent vote.
