You have 1970s tastebuds.

Mayo was crammed into an overwhelming percentage of meals in the US from the 50s through the 70s. :)

Alright that’s enough, go stand in the corner.

I don't make it often as I live alone and that is part of a batch 5 lbs of potatoes and 1 lb of bacon.
For just one recipe a day, you too could feel German potato salad to someone online.

Alright I have like 10 dyed eggs left. Hit me with a solid egg salad recipe please.
Kewpie Japanese mayo (or Duke's mayo if you can't find Kewpie), salt, black pepper, and a little bit of dijon mustard. Quantities of each will vary based on your liking.

If you can't find Kewpie or Duke's I'd suggest uprooting your family to a location that has easy access to at least one of them.

Kewpie is nice. Supermarkets carry it now I believe. Amazon too maybe.

As professed learned and cultured members of German things, is there such a thing as “German stuffing”?

This has confused me for my entire life. It was served at every big holiday meal. This mushy sausage’y (.?.?!!) stuffing. Family members craved it. It was super good but I could never reconcile all of this.

Most of my German culinary exposure comes from the Pennsylvanian Dutch. In general it’s not that I really know a lot about it. I just had a few dishes here & there & enjoyed them.

Has anyone had Dietz & Watson

Maple honey ham ?

I tried it vs the usual and couldn’t believe it was 10 x better then the regular.

Also do you get other cheese besides American?

I also got DW buffalo wing and Swiss

Not many like Swiss but I do. Also the bread choice, I prefer those Italian rolls right in front of the deli counter and pickles from the barrel sliced.
