Konecny.Who are some nhl comps for him?
Stephenson/Hyman are okay comps in the sense they capture what Brindley is: a player who makes those around him better, and looks good in any situation (5v5, PK, PP); but probably not at the elite level where they can carry a line by themselves.
The day we drafted him I said he was already a better player than Foudy (not saying much). But if Brindley didn’t get any better from that point on, you’re still looking at a Tyler Motte level player IMO.
IIRC I believe he became noticeable once they broke up him and Geekie. Towards the end it seemed like he was with Celebrini (which is a better stylistic fit).From just watching the third and tail end of the second, I wouldn't guess that Dumais had a bad game. He was fine at the end. One of a few players on the team that can make a high danger set up.
His 5v5 impact through the first two periods was not good at all, sadly.
