Ill help you decide. Take the player at the more important position. The one who has a very high IQ, put up more points and led his teams offensive production

Pronman had an article today ranking the 2015 picks in a top 10 in these categories

top skaters Barzal 6
top puck skills Barzal 4
top passers Barzal 4
Hockey IQ Barzal 5
shots Barzal didn't make the top 10
physical game Barzal didn't make the top 10

I dont think he signs here.

Anyway, i cant decide between Zacha and Barzal.

I'm partially undecided as well, but right now I'm leaning towards Zacha. Having a big skilled #1 center is appealing to me. I think his game may translate better to the NHL, but at the end of the day, I will most likely be cool with whoever we take as long as it isn't a Dman other than Hanifin.

Pronman also predicted Crouse's output (not playing style) would be equivalent to Ryan O'Reilly. He also said that Crouse is much more well-rounded than Lucic and the comparison between the two is not a good one despite size similarities.

Nishuskin is very hyped IMO.
He put up 35 points playing with Benn, Seguin in his rookie year. That is very underwhelming for a highly praised prospect.

Any B-level top 6 prospect could probably manage that with those 2.

Hip injuries can be the end of a player. Isn't that what did in Cheechoo?

He couldn't skate even when he was healthy. I still can't believe that guy had a 56 goal season. Then again Gionta had 48 and Gomez had 33 in that bizarro season.

I don't have interest in that deal...if they wanna talk Ritchie to swap places...

The only forwards the Devils have drafted since the 2004-05 lockout that are currently on the team are Travis Zajac, Adam Henrique and Jacob Josefson.

"They're not terrible at drafting"

Yep.

Barzal or Zacha?

Provorov?
Hanifin?

Marner falling down to 6th would solve the dilemma.

Our scouting staff better be putting in 14 hour days coming down the stretch.
But get a hold of this, Conte has an OOO message on his phone.:sarcasm:

? Is this real?

The guy was 18... not underwhelming in the slightest.

Ultimately, everyone's guessing.

We'll have to see in a few years.

Very true, pretty much anyone can bust outside of McDavid.

But I think Marner is just too skilled to end up being a bad pick.

Zacha is not elite in any part of his game, yet.
He has tremendous potential and I personally think he will be a very good NHL player for quite a while.

But I would still take Marner over him, at this point.

I think you're under estimating playing the adjustment of playing in the NHL in your first season. Saying any B-level prospect could put up points with them is completely wrong. If that were the case, why don't they pluck any fourth liner to put on their line? Would make sense since they come in abundance and they are cheap.

Does anyone else read into Eichel stating he's not sure if he's going back to school or making the jump?

Zacha's shot has been rated at nearly or elite from what i have read here and there.

But thats pretty much all thats elite. The rest is very good, but nothing else is elite.
