I think the PP has had difficulty generating dangerous chances, a lot of the success they've had on the PP has been off of plays where they've scored before the PP/PK has gotten set (like the Perfetti goal against the Preds) or luck (the Ehlers goal on Comrie). PP needs to be completely rethought. 55 is being wasted on the half wall. Tonight according to evolving hockey they generated a measly .89 xGoals in over 6 minutes of man advantage situations including the 6 on 5 at the end and the 5 on 3s. The PP cannot be allowed to continue as it is.

They're a good team. We had more high quality chances than they did post 1st period. Sucks we couldn't score on the powerplay, if you look over the past 20+ power plays, we've done incredibly well, top 5 in the league. It's easy to look at 2 failed opportunities and read too much into it. Overall if we stick to doing what we've done in the past 10 games we'll be a force on the powerplay. We had great chances tonight, including Scheifele entirely alone with Oettinger, and we didn't score. How different would you be feeling about our powerplay had he scored on that opportunity?

Agreed Perfetti's pass put Pionk in an untenable situation. He has to hold onto the puvck there but he will learn.
Jets are who they are and have kinda played above their head the first 20. I expect them to be .500 after the next 20

I got sidetracked building my new computer, so I listened to the first two periods, then turned off the game so I could focus on the computer. Still have plenty of updates and have to attach some drives still, but so far it's pretty decent. Disappointed that they got shut out and couldn't buy a goal.

Awful anthems, boring game, fell asleep, Jets lost. Couldn't capitalize on two 5-3 opportunities. Enough said. I give the game one "whatever that thing is supposed to be" out of five...

I think you need to watch that again. It was a great zone entry, a delay and a he found the trailer in the middle of the ice with a great pass. Pionk had time and space if he just shoots, passes or dumps it in the corner. Instead he tried to deke and fell down. End of story.

AHLsip starts a losing streak
When you have 2 -- 5 on 3's with your powerplay and can't score, you really have to rethink execution on the powerplay. We have a lot of real good goal scorers ( more than Dallas) and still can't score. Too much predictability in trying to get the puck over to Connor for the one timer. The other teams are shutting that lane to Connor off. I'd like to see more of Scheifele, Ehlers, and Perfetti also being used as the trigger man. All these guys have great accurate shots as well.
Also maybe more scoring from the back end with Morrissey, and also try Ehlers on the point on left defense, as they have to mix it up.

Puck movement is way too slow on 5 on 3’s, 4’s and 5’s.
I’ve been praying for fast passing drills for 2 years now. WTF. (Par dinner-moi)
About the only time our passing approaches “brisk” is w the last 15 minutes of the third when the guys are in chaos mode (which actually impresses).
I’m going to have a word about this with Sip’ and the other coaches.

A lot of people are probably struggling to make sure their families have Xmas presents and a meal, I can't see a Jets game at this time of year being a priority even if they have been playing well. They were having black friday specials that included the upcoming Leafs game and advertising tonight for the Oilers game on Thursday, that says enough right there. Should both be sellouts but probably won't be. Maybe the Leafs will end up being one.
I liked it. He's building confidence and starting to play much better. Everyone was activating to get the tying goal.
Morrissey has been caught doing that too, I don't want either of them to stop as we need an active dynamic d to maximize our system.

They could hardly get a shot through, way too much on the perimeter and then low percentage shots with no traffic in front!
props to Dallas, well coached big fast team!
