Any asset for Blackwood is a steal. Even a free pretzel at the Rock is good value. It costed me $10 USD to buy one in 2017. Can't imagine what they go for now.

If I'm Blackwood, I probably wouldn't want to sign here considering he's going to get shelled on a nightly basis in San Jose. He also hasn't been good in three seasons so maybe he feels like this is his last chance.

How many starting roles are there available for a guy like him? Is he even a top 30 G?

A worse goalie is good for the tank. They just needed vet depth so they don't have guys like Makiniemi thrown into the fire.
