Klim Kostin was the 1st round pick STL got in the Reaves for Sundqvist trade. The Pens moved back and selected Zachary Lauzon who had to retire because of head injuries.
Ok, he’s a solid 4th liner with size, toughness and and a plodding nature…who played 10:03 a night and shot nearly 20% in those 69 games.
Of all the things too…First time I’ve ever seen you happy.
The only time I've been truly happy hockey related since 2019 was seeing Karlsson leave with only 1.5m still on the books. I've come to really appreciate the little things like this.Of all the things too…
Why do we want to downgrade?Flip him to the Oilers now at 50% for Janmark
I’m choosing to believe we’ll get Oilers Klim that scored clutch goals in the playoffsWhy do we want to downgrade?
Yes, he cannot make a bottom three team.No idea who Simek is but he can’t possibly be worse than Holl or Petry… can he?
he's just not an NHLer at this point. No idea who Simek is but he can’t possibly be worse than Holl or Petry… can he?
Simek once upon a time was a steady, super physical d-man for the sharks before injuries just took hold of his career. No idea who Simek is but he can’t possibly be worse than Holl or Petry… can he?
You hate that they cleared $2M from next year by moving a guy, that you fully admit, wasn't doing what he was brought in to do?I hate this. The Wings have absolutely zero toughness outside of Ben Chiarot, and now we've dropped the only other guy who brought that element to the game. We're an incredibly soft team, and even though Kostin hasn't met expectations, we need that element to the game. Guys like Larkin and Debrincat take a ton of abuse, and there needs to be someone around to defend those guys.
You mean the guy that was living off an unsustainable shooting percentage and still got highly sheltered in the playoffs? Woodcroft was hesitant to play him more than 6 minutes when the games mattered. It wasn’t a few good weeks. He played 69 games for the Oilers last year and was good the entire time.
Other than some moments of physicality, I’ve really disliked Kostin this season.
Only so tough you can be from the press boxI hate this.
I mean, either is Holl eitherhe's just not an NHLer at this point.
