Childrens aid would be coming to take Mitch Marner out of that house.
Mitchy's dad would not be happy with that situation and would surely voice his concerns.

The core has been paid like champions, coddled after repeat failures, ZERO repercussions when they don't show up to play. That has to change, current management won't do it so they need to go. This is not a goddamn country club!

Gary Roberts would be unreal, but I highly doubt he has any interest in coaching.

Peter Laviolette is probably the best option currently available.

i do like boudreau. would be nice to win with him. dude's a massive Leafs fan and you know he's going to do his best to get the most out of our group.

but i would have preferred to have fired Keefe last summer. Cassidy would have been a great hire. oh well.

We had a better than coin flip odd to make the finals and in a span of a week, we went from give everyone extensions to fire everyone.
other than than Vasi losing it, nothing on the ice has changed since the beginning of the playoffs.

Strong? Promising? When? The team was probably going to miss the playoffs the last year of Babcock, and Lou went on to ruin another team.

You mean the year Dubas built an insanely shit team while trying to change hockey, undercut his coach then hired Keefe who lost to a f***ing Zamboni driver?

Yeah totally on Lou and babs

Dubas got bailed out by covid that year because we were on a downward spiral and he misses the playoffs he's gone then

Year 1 - Tear down a team to finish dead last
Year 2 - Add 9 Rookies to the line up and coach them to their first full season playoff berth in 13 years
Year 3 - Set a franchise record for points in the organization's 100 year history

If you don't think that's an incredible 3 year stretch it simply reinforces your inability to really be "not biased"

Then they handing things over to Dubas who founded Kid Kyle's Daycare Emporium and he and the children decided they knew better than all those old dinosaurs.

While Lou went on to two ECF's.

Ah yes, the team that Lou built... not the current one, ignore that one since he has had years to implement his vision now.

That looks like a lot of losing from Babcock/Lou here.

You honestly just sound like a bitter old man calling him "Kid Kyle" and referring to his age constantly...

Under Keefe, good record, under Babs, bad record.

Dubas is the one to blame!

Right. the one I was talking about when you asked when I felt things were promising.

Having a rough time following along?

They should make the casket big enough for three and put Dubas and Shannahan in there…there’s 4 strapping players on the leafs who may not be able to lift a cup but can surely act as the pallbearers

Dubas is the one to blame!

Under Keefe they lost to a Zamboni driver and the blue jackets

We were also falling apart pre covid break

Dubas and Keefe are such geniuses we must have won a presidents trophy or a cup by now!

Dubas messed up the team build from the start

Are you going to go be a fan of whatever team dubas is AGM of in a week? You obviously care more about him then the leafs

Lou the same guy who 'tossed in' Verhaeghe to open a roster spot that he didnt use, in a trade for an AHL backup goalie. ...that Lou?
the same Lou that gave Zaitsev 5/per, that Lou?
the same Lou that continually overpays bottom 6 players more than any other team in the league, that Lou?
the same Lou who's team is out of the playoffs while having one of the best defenses, and goalies, that Lou?

He's not a bad coach at all. In fact, he's pretty good. The problem is clearly the core.
He’s been out coached every year in the playoffs, so I don’t know we can say that. Sure he can coach, just not at the NHL level to be considered “pretty good”.

No, I'll be a fan of the Leafs, I just won't be surprised when Dubas succeeds somewhere else.

"Zamboni driver".... this talking point is so dumb, they scored on 20% of their shots, they lost to a Carolina team that played amazing.

The Jets scored on 0% of their shots against an accountant, but no one cares cause it's not the Leafs.

Sorry, they were much, much, much better under Keefe than Babcock that year.

For a fan of the leafs you sure seem to care about the GM more then the success of the actual team
