Sportsnet trying to say that:

a) Brent Burns's production slump is due to Paul Martin's extended absence
and
b) Erik Karlsson's slow start to the year is all on the Sens exposing Marc Methot in the expansion draft.

Did they not see Paul Martin play last week?

The assists should be changed on that goal. Meier for sure should get the primary assist not labanc

No. But when has that ever stopped regional hockey broadcasters from talking about teams they never see play. They'd probably just as likely wax poetic about what a gritty playoff performer Joel Ward is or be amazed that Pavelski is a top 6 forward.

Hey Nem, Smith has a Cowboy on his mask.

Absolutely perfect.

This new shooting Joe Thornton is fun.

I don't believe that's really Joe Thornton. Check for brain slugs. The Joe Thornton I know would sooner shave his beard than be forced to do something with the puck besides passing it.

It's actually not funny at all when those guys who are actually scoring hardly get to play while all the plugs get lots of icetime. It's rather sad...
Donskoi just missed 3 weeks. It wouldn't be smart to give him a ton of ice on the first night of b2b's.

Plus the team is playing a good game.

I'm still skeptical that Dell would legit sustain this play as a clear cut starter somewhere, but he's really having another impressive outing.

I think he can have some beyond quality numbers with 25-30 starts this year.

Someone is going to give him that chance next year.

He's on pace for 20+ starts.
