Not much different from other major junior leagues.

Top scoring in last 3 season:
Q: 129-120-110
W: 118-118-120
O: 129-128-109

Players with 100+ points last 3 season:
Q: 13
W: 13
O: 15

I just find that the OHL and WHL are significantly harder leagues to play in.

100 points in the Q is not equal to 100 points scored in the OHL, IMO.

I agree. I would equate the QHL more with European hockey & the OHL & WHL with the NHL because there is more hitting, more fighting more hard nosed hockey. Whenever I watch a QHL game there isn`t very much hitting & mostly back & forth skating & stick checking, I`m not a fan of it. 3 on 3 is like that, another gimmick.

I am not saying that is not true. The dub as well was supposed to be a bigger tougher league. The debate has been going on for quite a while. Even the habs took doug wickenheiser a big strappin' Center from the dub over Denis Savard a smallish highly skilled guy out of the Q.

True / Not true that perception seems to prevail. I think more people feel there is more parity between the leagues now than in the past --- so you guys get with it :). I have no empirical data to back that up.

Perron had attitude issues like hoffman and was used in a defensive role by his coach so he would learn defensive responsibility. Perron seemed very unhappy on draft day to have fallen from where he was projected. I believe people expected him to put up better numbers in his first year because of his prowess in minor league hockey before the CHL

What did you find interesting?

just off the top of my head

Sens are extremely high on Gagne.
Gagne is still in Ottawa.
They were going to select paul but dallas chose him couple pick earlier
Puempel is listed at 6'2 now, IIRC he was 6' when drafted

worth the 20 minutes

Another 4 points for Perron today. That makes 34 in 16 games

Now leads the entire CHL in points

Great interview.

A couple things I noticed:

Seemed to think that Paul could be ready to make the team this year (maybe a few weeks, maybe 5 months) likened his path to Ceci and EK.

They REALLY like Gagné, scouts mad a big push for BM to take him at 36 OA. Apparently he was impressive beyond even their high expectations at dev camp and rookie tourney.

Puemple needs to work on consistency (it's the only thing keeping him off the roster), plays a power/skill game, and has the best shot in the organization after Hoffman. He was the last player sent back to Bingo and is expected to be on the team full time it would seem by the way Dorian spoke about him.

Lindberg is really impressing in Bingo, the love his skill at high speed. His over all package lends the org to see a skilled NHL player

White is a high character pick with his biggest attributed being his intangibles. He will help the team win on the road

Sometimes they take a little less skill for high character players, admitted that all staff is a little biased towards their picks, but really had high expectations for several drafted players

Like Chabot a lot, excellent skater and transition Dman, want him to grow into his body and be harder to play against deep in the D zone

Were going to take Nick Paul but Dallas nabbed him first
