If Karlsson really is avaible, you at least gotta hope Poile is making some calls. Outside of McDavid and probably Crosby, he is the best player in the world. I know it’s like 1 in 10000000 odds, but you can’t help but wonder.

I don't think Poile did anything but call to see what they were looking for when it comes to Karlsson, in the end I don't think that is a position he would feel would be upgraded enough to waste those kind of assets on.

Our record last year at the trade deadline was 30 and 22 or something around there. That isn't screaming Stanley Cup contender. And also there wasn't much to choose from. I think Duchene was the best guy rumored to be moved last year. The pool this year is way better and were sitting 2nd in the West as well

Unless it's my nightmare where PK is sent to Ottawa, Ottawa trades PK to Toronto for their boatloads of prospects.

I don't think Subban is who they would want, they wouldn't want to try and move that contract.

I'm really hoping he is just trying to drive the price up as a thanks to the Sens for earlier in the year.
