After hearing mlb's explanation, I still don't get it. They say it's not a hr because it didn't bounce off the top of the wall.

Here's the relevant rule in the mlb rulebook:

(f) Any fair ball which, either before or after touching the ground, passes through or under a fence, or through or under a scoreboard, or through any opening in the fence or scoreboard, or through or under shrubbery, or vines on the fence, or which sticks in a fence or scoreboard, in which case the batter and the runners shall be entitled to two bases;

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see anything that says a ball bounding off the middle of the wall and over the fence is a ground rule double.

This sixth inning is huge for the bucs, they really need a run this inning.

KC will have Herrera Davis and Holland lined up to pitch the final 3 innings, those guys don't give up many runs.

The Cards are definitely going to win, and probably won't lose to the White Sox this week, so it'd be clutch to guarantee a series win here and keep treading water at least.

Goes without saying, but this is the type of stuff you love to see from Cole. Just nonchalantly dominating on the road against a tough team, not pressing too much or trying to be perfect, even though the offense is a joke and we may have been robbed of the game winning run.

Best case scenario for the Pirates is they see a non elite reliever in the 11th inning.

They lost 3 games in a short span that could have really knocked off their belief in that clubhouse. 2 to the Bucs and an 18th inning to ze Mets(?).
