One more irrelevant post from Reading and I'll go back to lurking. Stolarz was great in goal, and should be back in LV today.

He just might be my new favorite goalie though, and not for his play. At the end of the game the Royals took a penalty and Brampton pulled the goalie for the extra attacker. As time ran down the Royals got a clear, and one of the forwards grabbed the puck, skated the length of the ice and scored on the empty net. A Brampton player checked him into the boards, words were exchanged and gloves were dropped. Royals are still down 6-4 and the linesmen are losing control of the scrum. Stolarz comes out to the red line and has his gloves loose. He's ready to go jump in there and protect the Royals skaters from getting hurt. Fortunately the linesmen got it under control, but the fact that Stolarz wasn't back leaning on his net watching, or headed down the tunnel says a lot about him. He seemed to really enjoy himself, big grin on his face every time he took his mask off. Probably happy just to be playing again, regardless of where it was.

Please Feel free to post anytime I am sure many of us would appreciate if u did :thumbu:

A good year for the kid. Especially considering he started slow coming out of high school.

Have you watched him yet? I know we were high on him because Hockey Prospect was this summer, though he certainly didn’t justify it early, but I really do like him, whatever he ends up as potential-wise. Because it’s hard to tell. Passes my eye test for sure. I certainly don’t separate him from someone like Sushko. I will go back and watch more before we do rankings again, but I might like him more than him actually. I’m not really sure.

Best CHL D+1 season for a Flyers prospect since Giroux put up 112 points in 63 games in 2006-2007.

Hopefully this puts the final nail in the coffin of the crying over the Schenn trade.

Schenn is a proven NHL player, and the Flyers window just started to open this year. Schenn would of been one hell of a piece for us the next couple of years. I really like Frost, and the draft pick is higher then anyone would of thought, but they have to pan out in still while our players our in their prime for this trade to work out. IMO we lost the trade for now, but their is still a high chance we could win big

Schenn is a 60 point guy now.

Have you ever asked yourself "I wonder if any of the other Blues players would like some food from the buffet" or "I wonder if the Blues utter collapse is not only down to Mike Yeo's infatuation with Hoobastank - though that's part of it - but also to the fact that 19 of their 20 players are starving to death because there was no food left in the team meal"?

The Schenns are like birds where they just regurgitate the food, then feed it to their teammates.

The Flyers traded Schenn for futures and haven't skipped a beat. He has been completely replaced 5v5 and on the PP, with no ill effects.

That should tell you his overall on-ice importance to this team.
