Intersting that the 5 "best" forward prospects are playing together.

Danick Martel - Mike Vecchione - Nicolas Aube-Kubel
Oskar Lindblom - Mikhail Vorobyev - Colin McDonald (C)

While MV might move to RW if he makes it to Philly, the other are playing the same positions they'd probably be put at if called up.

The CHL/Russia Super Series starts tonight. The WHL is the first league up.

The OHL has some forwards that are currently injuried. I wonder if Bunnaman might get a call as a replacement?

What if you fly in from Thailand for Bunny's first NHL game and then Hakstol (oh, he's not going anywhere) scratches him?

I mean, I am sure you have heard about those people who club baby seals - the Eskimos? Something like that. And when I was done with him, I'd head to the nearest Eskimo village and have a word with them about animal cruelty.

You're probably thinking of Newfies not Eskimos, and I would think long and hard before you try to have words with a Newfie.

Side note you should use Inuit instead of the word Eskimo, or don't what eves

I would love to see Martel up and given a shot to see if his hot streak can translate to the NHL.

    EDIT: Middle six of:

    Weal-Filppula-Konecny
    Martel-Patrick-Simmonds

    Bring on the midgets.

Is that because they're likely to be drunk and unintelligible or some other reason?

I'm not as excited about our goaltending prospects as I was a year ago. Umenstenggeeererftegmenko seems like he has decent numbers and hopefully Hart gets back into the groove but the rest have been very average or worse it seems. (Based exclusively on numbers, I have seen a grand total of 3 games involving our prospect tenders. )

Hope he makes it. His nameplate will be awesome. :D

Yeah, the top goalie of the 16/17 WJC should be just fine.

Chris Pyor's comment from a couple of weeks ago makes sense.

“The team [Brynäs] maybe hasn’t done as well as they’d like to do in the early going [after losing players, like Lindblom] but the kid is off to a good start. Felix is Felix. They’ve got a good thing going there. We’ve got a good relationship with the people there. They’ve done a good job with him. He’s in a good spot. He’s in a really good league.”

Seems they're pretty clear with the prospects about what they have to work on:

"I've been working on the details of my game," Vecchione said on Oct. 25. "I think it's going well. Things we've talked about here are things I know that [Flyers general manager Ron Hextall and head coach Dave Hakstol] put value on up at the next level. Getting to the right spots. Being responsible. Back pressure, helping the D. Making reads, like if there's a chance to work the puck down low or if there's a low-to-high play to make."

Loose defences and undialed goalies are a common themes in October across any hockey league.

Always a decent play in Oct to keep your fantasy goalies on the bench and bet high on over/unders.

I was watching the Talented Mr. Ripley a few weeks ago. Could be him too.

8 minutes in and Hart has stopped 2 breakaways already.

    Edit: make it 3.

Now stopped 3 breakaways. Not many shots against, but all high quality saves.
