This I truly believe!

No one makes a trade unless they think it helps them. No one makes a trade thinking I would rather help Team A than Team B.

The only thing similar to this line of thinking is moving a player out of your conference so he doesn't look great against you.

I enjoy Montreal being a mess, one of the non division rivals I really just don't like.

Okay, here's the thing Montreal.

You can trade PK ****ing Norris winner Subban because of "character issues", but signing Radulov is perfectly fine?

Brilliant.

Radulov doesn't do anywhere near as much charity work as PK.

If it wasn't, then it makes no god damn sense. Everything that's been said about the trade seems to point to it being about more than wanting to trade Subban for Weber.

I don't consider an inability to get along with a person to be a character issue. Sometimes people just don't get along.

And besides, that's all speculation anyway. It's not like they dealt Subban for futures or low return. They got a #1 D back. Maybe it was about changing the look of their team?

What's everyone's opinion on Ekblad's contract?

I'm really not a fan of teams handing out huge contracts to guys coming off ELC instead of using bridge deals during the VERY small window that teams actually have leverage and can control cost because it drives up and inflates the salaries of everyone else...

but ekblad is an absolute stud and is one of the guys you can understand making an exception like this

But the potential of him leaving for nothing is still there and I don't like it. Not a fan at all.
