Oh this has been happening for most of the season it's just that now when we need every win it's really standing out.

He hasn't won a playoff round with that team yet. This team needs a Sutter type coach that isn't scared to bench anyone .

I agree, with the caveat that this MUST be combined with a modern (ie: young) offensive and defensive coordinator team. We need the coach to bust some balls when needed and also make sound in-game decisions, but also modern offensive and defensive structures to serve as the foundation to our game.

We are a puck moving team that plays a dump and chase game - it's playing the skill right out of our game.

So why is Lowry the coach? Is it purely a case of nobody wanting to coach Winnipeg or the ownership being too cheap to hire somebody else? Because he’s just No Name Maurice without the quirky pressers. Like where is the team going?

I think the plan was to have Maurice leave in the off-season, but things were coming off the rails so rapidly that they had to make the change mid-season and Chevy didn't have a replacement ready.

Usually you take a gamble on an assistant with a mid-season change. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I believe Lowry could probably be a great head coach some day, but he has a great deal more to learn, and isn't ready yet.

I still believe Kompon is calling most of the shots.

I remember seeing how many games they had to win (26-10-4?) with 40 games remaining to make the playoffs and knew that, realisically, they weren't making the playoffs this year. It's too bad we haven't had the chance to see what Samberg, Heinola, and Kovs have to offer for 30-40 games. We are paying Dillon and Schmidt 9.85m a season for Christ's sake!

Another year of JMo's, Helle's, Scheif's, KC's, Ehler's, etc... contracts pissed away and not even making the fackin post season. This team is swirling down the toilet fast. You'd better step up to the plate Chevy.

If you get rid of the one problem player and get a coach with a system that ther players buy into then things instantly get much better imo atleast from an effort and execution stand point. The team may not be worlds better immediately but they need to get full buy in.
