The guy is just terrible at 5v5 at this point in his career. Killing penalties, blocking shots, and being 51% on faceoffs is not going to make up for that.

A bunch of bad signs of how his play was getting worse. Most of the blocked shots happened early in the season. He had a really good face-off % about 20 games in and now it's almost even. We can say +/- is a crap statistic but when there's almost no offensive production and your -'s are getting worse and worse the +/- stat is indicative of your bleeding goals at even strength. Against San Jose---worst record in the league he was a -2. Rangers need to sort out their bottom 6.....of the guys currently playing Vesey and Cuylle are the best. Bonino the worst and honestly I think Wheeler not Goodrow or Pitlick is the next worst.

I'm kind of thinking it means Chytil is really close to returning. I'd also like seeing more of Edstrom but he's been out of Hartford's lineup for a while---has to be some kind of injury.
