Shattenkirk has to be so regretting that decision right now. He’s never going to win a cup

Hearing the McDonough to TB is part of a bigger deal pending.

Also, Maroon to Devs

Brooks is trolling on radio saying the return is terrible. I haven’t seen anything yet as to who is coming back

Ryan McDonagh, come get the Stanley Cup!!

No really, come get the Stanley Cup. The NHL is cancelling the playoffs and just giving it to Tampa Bay now.

How did Yzerman keep Sergachev, Point, Raddysh, and Foote in acquiring those two players is astounding. One of the best in the business

Agreed, I cannot believe that Yzerman got McDonagh (and Miller too but the Rags were seemingly frustrated with his poor decisions) without giving up one of the better prospects/quality young players. The Rag$ too quality over quantity. I assume they panicked and wanted to get a deal done before Karlsson is traded and UFAs hit the market.

I thought the NYR did really good in the Nash trade.

I don’t understand why they didn’t just wait until the draft to move McD?
You have to come out with Foote imo in that deal.

I was expecting Foote to be the centerpiece of that deal too. If they weren’t able to get him at the deadline though, they were neve getting him.

McDonagh’s value at this deadline was ultimately higher than it was going to be at the draft because Tampa now has him for at least two playoff runs.

Good to see Washington really came to play tonight apparently. We will be 4 points out of the playoffs after tonight.

Supposedly they were afraid of Karlsson hitting the market at that time and it would lower McDonagh’s value

Lol... So they went ahead and preemptively traded him for low value now. Great strategy Rangers. :thumbu:
