Detroit has traded the 4th overall pick to Washington for the 9th overall and 30th overall picks.

Confirmation from ATG is expected soon.

Washington is on the clock.

Fire Mcphee!!!!! Hire ATG!!!!! Has a nice ring to it :D

I am actually quite impressed with what you have done, i dont really understand what detroit did at first i was like not bad because of the lack of depth in this draft but then trading back down? well maybe hes got something huge planned.

BTW Columbus is open to proposals for #6 pick and would like a young/middle age Defensman to help our weak Dline. I am up for moving down for a decent D man and trading the pick altogether for someone with a little more talent/potential.

You know who should be fired? The Bruins GM......or maybe i'm just behind times and he is already....

Washington's GM aint THAT bad... He gotten Washington some nice prospects e.g Semin, Ovechkin etc.

P.S No offense to any Bruins fans here :dunno:

At this pace we may have to reduce this to only the first round.

If that's the case I'd like to offer all of the Yotes 2-7th picks for more in the first. :)

I think Washington should make me their gm not only did I add Pavel Datsyuk but I ended up keeping my pick and taking Staal anyway :biglaugh:

So basically it was Datsyuk for Fehr, Green, and how many second rounders?

With Peter Mueller taken ahead of us, we started fielding offers for our 6th overall pick and the Columbus Blue Jackets are pleased to annouce we have traded our 6th overall pick to the St Louis Blues for Brewer, 27th and 31st overall picks

To Columbus: Brewer, 27th and 31st overall picks

To St.Louis: 6th overall pick

We are happy to welcome a solid young blueliner to the organization.

St.Louis is now on the clock and ill wait the confirmation of these deal by Checkers.

Nicklas Backstrom motha ****as!

I'll admit, if I stayed at #2, I probably would take Kessel...but I absolutely love Backstrom. If I was sitting at #3 I definitely would have taken Backstrom without even thinking of anyone else.

Essentially I leave the draft with...
Gained: Nicklas Backstrom, Paul Mara, 4th Round Pick
Lost: Phil Kessel

you also lost a 40th rounder. And if we are doing 40 rounds we will be here literally forever.
