Why? Bracco might actually compliment Mathew
Even the biggest nylander fan has to admit ,that was a horrible road trip
The fly by's and just lack of concentration is alarming
New coach but its seems a few wont buy in
Keefe knows this whole roster
What if Bracco doesn't complement Matthews? What if he loses us a game? You fans love to over react to one game.
Maybe put in Marincin for Rielly while we are at it.

I want it to be Liljegren for 3 reasons,

1 - He is my favourite prospect
2 - He's been better than Sandin in the AHL
3 - I want Sandin to go to the WJC

As per the convo in the other thread, this might just be a warm up game for my guy Marty Marooch, who could be back up with the Leafs in time for Tuesday night’s game.

If it’s not Liljegren going to the NHL, look on the bright side: assuming Greg Moore is not a moron, Liljegren will be playing on the top PP for the Marlies with Sandin at the WJC (or NHL), and he’ll be given big ES minutes and basically asked to carry the team for 3 weeks. That is a great developmental opportunity for Liljegren. Also the first week of January is when they pick the AHL all-star teams, so if Liljegren gets some big minutes in for the rest of December he has a real shot of being selected, which would be a big deal for a 20-year-old defender.

IMO they really should not mess with either of the blue chip prospects assuming Barrie is not out long term. Let Marooch/Schmaltz/Kivihalme handle things if it’s just a couple games. Let Liljegren take over top duties on the Marlies and have Sandin fly out to Europe.

One game ?nylander had a brutal road trip
Whoever says he compliments Mathews was wrong
But your right I'm not a huge fan of nylander

Rielly has been terrible the entire season? Maybe we should trade him right?
Nylander compliments Matthews. 2 bad games doesn't change that. Brutal isn't correct. Also bench Matthews for one game. Play Brooks instead
Good in the St. Louis game and the Canucjs game, but struggled in the last two.
It's funny you said to bench Nylander, but when Marner was terrible early on, you didn't say to bench him.

Lineup Changes:
Clune and Ferguson up front. Agostino and Elynuk out. Hollowell in for Lindgren, Schmaltz in for Harpur on defence.
Kask to start.
@Kiwi you might be getting your wish. Oddly Agostino is out today.

I hope so man, he brings a different element
I think we need more of that, especially the Matthew's line

:crossfing the team is reading my posts and wants to call up Liljeren if Barrie is hurt as well

Poor PP attempt by the Marlies.

Sandin just played 1:50 of that 2 minute PP.
Another criticism, Sandin's play is give it to Bracco, and see what happens. That might be more coaching, but the times Lilly has been on that unit, he is more unpredictable and actually one times the puck.

I have only watched 2-3 games along with youtube game highlights but Tanner McMaster has stood out each time.

Looked to have good speed with lots of intensity.

Is this just a case of it being a small sample size and me catching his good games or does he actually have a shot at being a NHL player in some capacity?

One of the biggest surprises this season, he was pretty much nothing last season, but has taken a surprising step this season.
There probably isn't much NHL potential, but we should keep note of him.

Marlies will lose 4-2. They will finish 7 and 5 under the 2 coach's system. Need to get Greg Moore into the team.

Prospect of the week
There are 2 players in contention this week. Abramov and Bouthillier. Abramov had 5 points in 3 games this week, with 2 goals and 3 assists. 3 of them were at ES, 1 PP point, and he also had a shorthanded empty goal. Bouthillier put up a .957 SV%, and had a GAA of 1.50. In many weeks, that would be good enough to get the POW, but this week it is going to Abramov. When you have 3 ES out of 5, and 1 point shorthanded, you should get it. This is his 4th POW, tying him with Stotts for the lead.

Prospect of the month #3
2 players are in contention this month. Stotts and Bouthillier. Stotts had 14 points in 11 games this month. 8 of them were goals, and had 6 assists to go along with it. 9 ES points, and 5 PP points. Bouthillier had a solid month himself with 2.65 GAA, and .932 SV%. This one is tough, but just like in the POW, Bouthiller will lose out. Stotts will get it this month. Stotts had a great month, and I would classify Bouthillier's month as very good, but not amazing.
This is Stotts 1st POM.
