this game shows the skill set carter has. works hard. good down low. decent on D. nice shot as well

put him with decent line mates in NHL, he will do well

Looks like if Nilsson comes over he'll get some game time.

One would hope. Depending on what's happening with Holzer and MacWilliam I think Knodel will obviously be in there. I also know Spott mention Yeo being healthy again soon so he might get in there too. Brennan should get some rest down the stretch along with Marshall too anyways. There's also lots of back2back2back games left in the year so lots of room to fit Nilsson in

6 to 4 win.

nice third on both ends for marlies.

What the defence look like now.

Percy - Granberg
Brennan - Nilsson
Knodel - Marshall

That's what I'd like to see. I'm sure Yeo or even Yuen could draw in as well.

They resemble the style of play the Blue Jackets have (but at the AHL level). Not an amazing amount of skill, but they have solid defence and can bury you if you give them space. They are a resilient bunch at both ends of the ice.

Steve Spott is doing a good job with the group that he has.

I know its tough to see the Leafs own draft picks not play every day (like Ross,Biggs, etc.) but he's managing them pretty well.

I'd also like to point out how well the Grand Rapids Griffins are doing. Half their team is with the Wings and they still sit in 1st place. Say what you will, but that franchise knows how to develop players.

All I can say is I`m glad Spott is the coach here. Doing a better job than Eakins and he`s not playing vets over the kids.

Carrick is a beauty! Replacement for mcclement.

He will be playing for the Leafs in a couple of yrs
This kid is all grit, tenasity, will take on anyone, grt on the PK and has some scoring ability.

And he play down the middle

We dont have anyone on our team like that right know.

Also see

McWilliam
Percy
Grandberg
Finn
McKegger
Broll
Devane
Ryan PKspecialist blocks a ton of shots
Levio
Ashton
DiAmigo

In a couple of yrs I think all of these kids will be with the Leafs or another organization

Some of them will be up next yr

My favorite prospect is easily Leivo.

Good defensively, good speed, great shot, decent size, character, natural offensive instincts.

I think he is ahead of a lot of highly ranked prospects in the AHL.

I would say

McWilliam
Granberg
Levio
Ashton
DiAmigo
Holland

Have a real shot at a spot with the big club

I really like most of the players on the Marlies

The good thing is next yr we wont need Stabiz Smithson McLeod on the team next

I like the progress of

Carrick
Abbott
Biggs
Devane
Broll
Percy
The Goaltenders

With kids coming in the Marlies will be good again

Hope we leave spots open for the Kids

I would rather suck next yr and let these kids break into the lineup
