Yeah! Lets trade a 30 minute possession D and a bunch of highly rated forwards for a different 30 minute possession D!!
what?
Why on earth would we get rid of Gardiner and sign Kulikov who is nowhere near as goodBye bye Gardiner... Hello Trouba
This definitely spells the end to Hunwick on the LD though, and I would not be shocked to see Gardiner go as well. If he can get us a top pairing RD, we can find a good LD in FA to play 2LD for a few years (Daley, Kulikov, etc. on a two-year deal; whoever is willing to take it) before giving way to Borgman, Dermott, Rosen, Greenway, Nielsen, etc. down the line.
We definitely aren't moving him for futures like we likely will with JvR or Bozak though (when we hopefully move them). It'd be a similar or greater quality RD or bust.
19 points in 41 games for rosen (23 years)
21 points in 52 games for holm (25 years)
15 points in 45 games for borgman (21 years)
holm stats aren't that great when age is considered.
your out to lunch if you think gardner is a 30 minute defensemen lol. Solid 2nd pairing possesion player. Not a #1 defender
Received the top minutes on our team in the playoffs... between 25-29 minutes a game... not 30 minutes.
and who else were we supposed to play?
Rumours that Borgman can, or does play on the Right Side, at least at times... Can one of our Swedish friend confirm that he plays on the right side, and how often, and if he is any better, or worse on that side, than the left side. Thanks.
Bergman is so happy right now. He is finally being listened to. What a trooper, organization hires the best Euro scout in the world and never listen to him for years.
Or is this a result of ari vuori... leafs stole him from Detroit and he is head the European scouting for the leafs.

I provided no commentary, just numbers and facts. Are the numbers I posted incorrect?
I thought it was Rosen who has played a bit of RHD?
Borgman is a gritty defender with great skating ability, he loves to rush the puck.
Rosen is a smart calm player.
Together they could form a good 3rd pairing.
But imo, Philip Holm is better than this 2.

Borgman seems like the prize here. Younger and higher potential.
