CZ Shadow 2 Compact coming my way!
Do you think Matthews would have had 40+ goals, had he not been injured? We don’t know if any other team would’ve had 10. Because it didn’t happen.

The excuses are getting sad. That's why I bumped up my thread yesterday about their health being overhyped.Just like the "Leafs only got in the playoffs last year because they were healthy" arguments.
Always some kind of excuse with you people- rather than acknowledging that yes, they were the best team in the league in terms of scoring depth- you have to put that achievement down and chalk it up to other teams' inability to stay healthy.

My point is that one can't say that they're much better than anyone else, if the others all missed a ton of men games.

45 or so.Do you think Matthews would have had 40+ goals, had he not been injured?
I agree that the Leafs are the team - among the top 6-7 teams - who had the least injuries and all their stats were helped greatly by that.So then you agree that the Leafs are unique in being the only team to accomplish this, great! Moving on from the Bruins now please
You didn't answer my question.matthews was on pace for 45gls so he's officially a 45gl scorer now.
Leafs wouldn't be the only team with 10 40 point scorers if other teams also had 10 40 point scorers, this is correct.
If that's your point, then I don't think it's worth discussing this with you anymore. That has to be some of the most asinine logic I have ever seen on these boards and I have been here since 2001.
Nothing wrong with giving them credit. That's great depth!
Only because other teams have had lots of injuries, otherwise they wouldn't have been the only team. Which was my - and other posters' - original statement.
How are people going to handle it when the Leafs are even better next year? I worry about people on here.
So you have no opinion on whether the Leafs will sweep the Bruins, if they meet in the first round? How about if they meet Tampa?

Of course. And that is the point I was telling people in the AhoVs Marner thread who said Aho is better with more TOI and worse stats because his team is worse. Wait what? You do realize that injuries have also helped players on your team get more points right? When a player moves up the lineup they also can pick up more points then they would had they stayed in their current role.
It's beyond ridiculous. And yet people will claim no one is biased against the Leafs.So. In this thread we have people claiming the Leafs had no injuries while also saying nobody hit 70 points even though Matthews was over a PPG but must have skipped 20 games for fun.
Never stop HF.
