The talk about our prospects on team Canada made me go back to drafts to think about which ones of our prospects played major roles on teams between Ehlers and Heinola.

Which made me remember that team USA left Connor off the team. Morons.

In a way... when USA left Kyle Connor off that team...

It probably made him available when he was to the Jets...

Silver lining for us those Morons...

Canada-Russia has a much quicker pace than the earlier Finland-USA game so far.

Edit: Chibrikov is #19 with #21 Guslistov and #9 Svechkov.

Team Canada looking rusty as well so far.

Too bad these teams don't get more games to shake off the rust.

Well I think that's 2+10 for the Russian player if it's called a check from behind.

Edit: Called a crosscheck so just 2

Chibrikov's role on the power play confuses me. I feel like he cycled through every role on the same shift.

High slot, low slot, and top of the left circle seem to be his areas. Kind of reminds me of a less active Ehlers with his PP role.

Had a pretty nice cross ice pass before changing.

Zubov and Cameron aren't much better than the US coach with their masks.

Edit: Actually I'll say just as bad.

Yeah no he looks really good, just super active. He literally was in every area of the offensive zone at some point in the same shift. Might have just been an eventful shift.

I like what I’m seeing from Chibrikov so far.
Agree that the power play positioning is “different”.

Nice edge work by Chibrikov protecting the puck while carrying it into the slot.
