Q is short, but he weighs more than Toews, Aho, Beauvillier or HoSang. he is tough as nails, and that is what is important. i would bet that he makes to the bigs.

What’s alarming about MDC is that he only has SIX shots in roughly six games. Sigh, we all endured a terrible Isles team w no reward that year.

Great point - 8 shots now in 7 games.

He has to do a better job of generating more shots. Dal Colle has shown to be a slow starter and he has the tendency to be very streaky.

I too like many of you here originally liked the pick (really liked Ehlers and Ritchie too), but it is clear now that he wasn't the best pick.

But, it is not too late for MDC at all - he just turned 21 in June/July. He looked much better at camp and just needs more time.

Now and i saying he'll be an impact guy? No, but can be a nice complementary player who can contribute.

I think it is best to let Dal Colle alone and simply play his season and see what shakes out at the end of the year.
If he can have a strong second pro season - he can build on that in the offseason - work/ train hard and come ready to battle at camp.

I still think 25 goals and 50+ in the AHL is a realistic expectation for him this season.

When Dal Colle is playing on a bad team, it seems he wont produced much ; it was like this in his last season with Oshawa.

From the WHL last night:

Bellows 2 goals in a loss, 20 pts in 12 games and 61 shots on goal which is a good sign.

Quenneville, had a goal in a MH Win. Now has 18 pts in 10 games.

This has to be the first time ever where we've never had a prospect in the OHL.

He had an assist as well. 10 shots on goal and was 3rd star in a losing effort.

My ears and eyes are starting to open in regards to Quenneville. Anyone see him play? any chance he is a real NHL prospect? Size is small but appears to be hungry and looks angry. (perfect) In this day and age NHL size is not a huge decider like 20 years ago.

He's small but his lower body is stout. I believe he absolutely has a chance to make it in the NHL.

Quennville is about the same height as Tory Krug and Spurgeon, so there is precedent for a d-man of that size not just making it but thriving in the NHL.

BTW, Spurgeon was never a point-per-game player in the WHL, but league scoring may have exploded since he was a junior player?

Not that ut matters but I believe Quennville is actually an inch or 2 shorter than them. Krug may be close to 5'10 and Spurgeon 5'9. I saw Quennville in person and he's a legit 5'8. Built like a brick house though.

The "brick house" part is good. That and skating ability can overcome height.

I love our Defensive depth  We will know better when Quennville gets to the AHL. I think that's a better place to read how he will play in the NHL.

Looking at the soundtigers top scorers... think we will know what these players can do by mid November when everything is settled and hot streaks at the beginning of the season is over.

If Eansor/Fritz/Bernier are still playing like they are

AND

if Aho, Mitch, ...wow...

I think we can deal with injuries all day long

What we are really missing is top end talent. Elite status talent in our depth. We have some real good guys that have good ceilings, but no one on a Tavares level...Maybe Sorokin?Anyway... what I am trying to say is that I can see us trading this prospect depth for 1 or 2 elite talents at some point this season or over the summer next year.

I have a feeling Aho is seen as a potential deHaan replacement. I know it's a lot to expect but I think they're that high on Aho. Plus he's been a pro for years now and is older than regular first year drafted players.

If anything Toews is closer to a de Haan replacement.

Aho is a unique player in this organization.

Robin Salo have had a tough autumn, he has been out of the team and some games he has been 7 defender (no TOI) and he and the captain of his team have a video on the finnish Liiga homesite , which was not popular.
But when the finnish JWC team expose their team to 4 nations in Russia with players which plays in Finland,
Salo was elected to Captain of the team ,ahead players like Joulevi and Vaakanainen.

Sorry not following, so he is captain now and expected to get more ice-time? If not I wonder if he can be loaned the London Knights who own his rights.

I know it's only paper, but I like Bellows' whole stat line. The goals, the points, the PIMs, the +/-.

Burroughs' +8 in 8 games kind of jumps out at you when you look at all the other +/- numbers on the list.
