On the trade block :
Alex Galchenyuk
2nd overall
15th overall
Other picks (including three 2nd)

Our main need remains a young top line center. We will also look for upgrades for next season but the 2nd overall is only available for our main need.

:habs

Once again around all day for trade talks!

(less people online yesterday, hope that the interest will be back with the draft lottery results and playoffs coming to an end).

Renaud Lavoie : Jakub Jerabek and Joe Morrow will not be back with the Habs next season. Management did like what Jerabek was able to bring to the game but with Heiskanen and Mete looking for a roster spot, there was no roon for him anymore.

Around until 4 or 5 today and would like to hammer out a few more deals pre-draft.

Shopping:

Zack Smith
Alex Burrows
Mike Condon

Available:

Derrick Brassard
JG Pageau
Cody Ceci
Ben Harpur

Also have a handful of mid-picks and prospects I wouldn't mind swapping for a young bottom-six winger with size.

Ive received just the one vote since last night, and obviously since playoff voting hasn't concluded, we won't be able to hold the draft tonight. Getting dangerously close to the holidays...

I'm willing to make a go of it with my limited time if there is enough interest, but I have my doubts that this will remain active.

I think 7/8 votes is fine.

If we can auto the draft (aka just have ppl sending lists) I can do it. I don't have 2-3hrs free to do a live draft

Also can be the Goalie FA agent if someone trades Chicago a starter :p F and D would be tricky as I need to sign like 10-15 guys lol

:vegas shopping Ryan Carpenter if anyone is looking for a cheap depth F (650k cap hit next year)
Also looking to move McNabb either for a good Bottom 6 F, or in a package for a Top 2 Dman. 1 or both of my firsts (VGK and NSH) also in play

You should go with the votes you have to get this going.

At the end of the playoffs later today, I would suggest a roll call.

I can help out with free agency and the draft as well. Hoping we end up doing both of those so I'm willing to help to make it happen.

:cbj it's the classic great offense vs great defense. Defense wins championships, and this 6 is a championship defense

Werenski-Jones
Murray-savard
Hutton-Nutavara

Add a 4 deep C rotation, and it's a hell of a series

Bob McKenzie : Contract discussions are ongoing between John Tavares and the Isles. They are apparently 2.5M$ per season apart at the time being.

Still around until 6PM ET.

We are currently having two serious discussions regarding the 2nd overall pick, which would give us the opportunity to finally acquire a top line center.

Our defense is deeper and stronger, while our healthy offense can role mutliple lines and keep up with their high powered offense.

We are incredibly disappointed in our second round exit after making the cup finals last year and are looking to make some changes during the off-season. We are currently in talks for a potential franchise changing piece. I will update our needs and available pieces soon.
