Why not have the owner of the winning team present it to their team if it's at home? If it's on the road, have Bettman or Messier present it.
I wish hockey tournaments would do that to promote sportsmanship lolI’d like to see the captain of the losing team hand off the cup and congratulate the winners over the PA system.
Yay for owners? Boo for fans?
Maybe a better commish could have avoided the lockouts and reached the exact same deal. Who know since 20+ years of Bettman.

I think it would be great to have a celebrity do it. Maybe somebody up in Canada like Avril Levigne or somebody who plays hockey like Cuba Gooding Jr.
We keep trying, but for some reason it's always been on the road. The booing is so predictable and stupid.
I'll become an automatic fan for life of the fan base that bucks the trend and instead of booing, gives him a standing ovation! Do something different, be original people!
Yeah if Vegas wins at home and they boo Bettman ill hate that franchise even more than I do now.
Are you hinting that Bettman has something to do with Vegas going to the finals? Or that they should be grateful to him for bringing a team to the city?
Should be grateful. Also the expansion rules but I realize it wasn't as drastic as some think.
People just don’t respect tradition anymore.I'm not a Bettman fan but the presentation and booing is tiresome. It takes away from being able to enjoy the experience. I don't see any likely alternatives taking place anytime soon, though.
Maybe if he got cheered, he’d feel weird.Bettman comes out, gets booed mercilessly
Outstanding.It should be Paul Romanuk

"SKERR!"
And now, it is my honour to present the Stanley Cup to James Niewendyk and head coach Mike Bobcat
YES
I like this idea a lot. It's really stupid to have the cup presentation booed. It doesn't have to be the commissioner - find someone else.
