Lefebvre extension incoming.

Isn't it funny how this place works... When a team loses, it's all about the negative and this guy's incompetent and this one's an idiot and trade this guy and wave that one, etc.

But when it's going well, it's so quiet and people find other stuff to complain about, like Nygren and how he's a wimp and gives up on being an NHLer or it's the team's fault for not giving him a chance or this or that. To think that some folks spend the better time of their days on this site baffles my mind.

So it's better to complain about people that complain

Are the Habs the only team who send players back home when they are hurt?

This is so weird.

This depends on the injury and its severity. Marc Savard, among others, was sent home to try to recover from his concussions. Players are sent home to do this as almost SOP. Stephen Weiss also recovered at home.

Max Pacioretty went home, too. That's where he was when Chara finally called: https://ca.sports.yahoo.com/news/nh...-has-evolved-from-anger-to-understanding.html

The difference here, I'm afraid, is that the people react differently when the player goes back to Europe.

He's not playing MacDonald's over him?

Dogs winning 4-3. Were down 3-2.

Dietz 1g 1a
DLR 1g 1a

3 points in 2 games for Dietz.

Love to see DLR produce along with our other hopefuls but him especially.

Hopefully we can see some highlights and reports on how the Dogs been playing lately.

Dogs YouTube, or even their site has highlights about 3 hours after the game. Sometimes faster.

Tangradi pots an EN. 5-3 dogs. Tangradi got 3 points 1g 2a.

I was just checking some stats and Condon, who's a rookie in the AHL, is tied for 10th in GAA and he's 2nd in Save %. Seeing how he was amazing in the ECHL last year, I think he's really turning out to be an great FA signing.

DLR starting to break out. Hopefully with a new coach next year he goes super saiyan. Though it would not shock me to see him in Montreal to start the year. I think the only reason he's in the AHL is because we get his contract to slide by keeping him down.

5 pts in his last 6 games. I'm in no rush to move him up. I'd wait till he (hopefully) really starts racking up the points

So excited...''I'm so excited'' for our farm team next season!!
(''I'm so excited'' cheesy/fun/good song by Pointer Sisters!!;)).

Crisp - Hudon - Scherbak
or
Crisp - Hudon - McCarron
or
Crisp/Hudon(winger/center?) - DLR - McCarron/Scherbak

I hope Lefebvre doesn't just keep Connor Crisp on the 4th or 3rd lines next season...he should be UP there (2nd or 1st sometimes) 'cause he can play and also be a policeman to Hudon and Scherbak.

Tinordi: for sure...he will be our Habs #5-6-7dman next season...for sure. I do not want to lose him in a trade...give him time and he will be an amazing shut-down dman for us...give him 2-3 yrs (patience/confidence/loyalty) and EVERY HAB FAN WILL WANT TO KEEP HIM FOR 10yrs+.

And, hopefully Nygren is the Bulldogs' #1 PP dman next season and ready to play for our Habs or for sure get some games to prove his worth (huge shot!) with out Habs.

So excited!!

P.S.: who knows...? maybe Hudon will already be a winger/center for our Habs next season, and Scherbak may start with our Habs since we need more RIGHT-WINGERS, but...easy does it...I wouldn't rush him. Maybe all he (Scherbie) needs is 40-60AHL games (or less?)...we shall see!! Whatever it takes for him to be ready for our Habs!!

I take it playing in the WJC really helped boost DLR's confidence. Hasn't he been playing much better since coming back?

Crisp has shown little to nothing. Whether it's the coach, or an off year this year, e's shown nothing to be anywhere close to Scherbak. McCarron and him might be a 4th line together in the NHL, if McCarron drops and Crisp greatly improves his game.

Nygren is an RFA at the end of the year and who knows if he'll re-sign.

... what? Tinordi is fine. He never had a concussion. He also played really well coming back from injury as well, and played last night too. As far as Beaulieu.. he's been playing great and has claimed his spot in the top-4 at age 22. How is that not a happy surprise? A lot of people said he was all offence and he's proven he can play at the NHL level. No idea how you could say that Beaulieu is a disappointment.

No No, did not say Beaulieu was disappointment, just that he is a happy story, not a surprise. Quite happy about him. And did not know Tinordi status, thanks for updating. Glad to hear.

DLR and Tinordi are the 2 dogs I really really want to succeed right now. DLR because I want Habs to have the option of replacing Eller by end of next year for assets. I like Eller as a no. 3c, but I think DLR might end up being a smarter Eller, with slightly more offense.

Nyrgren being RFA means he basically has no choice but to sign if he wants to be an NHL player. He's really hard to judge with so much injury problems as well as not playing many games last season.

Huge thanks for this...didn't know he just came back again...great news!! Last I heard/read here he came back and had two assists (played well) and then got the flu again. Now he's back. Great stuff.

Did he play well yesterday? (or before yesterday).
In case you saw it (any info on his play is appreciated).
Thanks.

Go Tinordi Go!!

another 2 goals for Ellis. He seems to be fighting hard to stay relevant

He's relevant! He's relevant!!
To be Ellis...or not to be Ellis!! (that is the question!).
Thanks for Ellis info.

I'm a fan of Ellis ever since I read (here) that he's an offensive version of Gorges (not even sure how accurate that comparison is!?! but I'll take it!!haha!!). So, next season (or sooner?)...back to the AHL/Bulldogs? (last I read here he was in the ECHL, if I'm correct). Also, it's great when all or most of our prospects are doing well (value goes up)...more trading chips (options) for Bergevin:naughty:. (not saying I want to trade Ellis...just saying all this is good for Ellis, our Habs, and us Hab fans)

Great asset management...if DLR can be a smarter Eller...we will have more options next season (also great for depth/in case of injuries, etc). Heck...more options as soon as 2015 playoffs coming soon to a HDTV near you!!;)
(btw, is DLR playing with Hudon?).

And, Tinordi...for me Jarred Tinordi has to be a Hab for a long, long time. Been rooting for Tinordi since he was drafted by our Habs. HABS BETTER NOT TRADE OUR 6'6 FUTURE SHUT-DOWN MACHINE AND PK SPECIALIST.

Lefebvre really developing Condon well.

Condon really developing Lefebvre well!!;):p:
(he's making the coach look good! just kidding around!).

Must have been something Bergevin said a few weeks ago to the players...no?!

Price, Subban, Plekanec, Pacioretty, Galchenyuk, Gallagher, Weise...they all make Therrien look good (they would make almost any NHL or AHL coach look good). I give more credit to Price's goalie coach more than Therrien. But...this is not the Therrien thread, so I won't derail it!! (ok, one more note...I'll give credit to Therrien when/if he wins a CUP with our Habs, but I betcha I'll still give way more credit to Price, Subban, Plekanec, Price's goalie coach...!!).

Habs won 5 in a row...Bulldogs won 5 in a row...happy times!!:handclap: (super happy for Hudon, Tinordi, Condon, DLR,etc...).

Go Condon Go!!

Darren Deitz has sure taken the ball and run with it given the chances, providing the GWG and playing very well in his 2nd season(34gms. in 2013-2014 due to injury). He may get a callup if the Habs have injuries on the RD this year and earned the right IMHO. Bulldogs playing well, and so is Jarred Tinordi(LD) that name Jarred always leaves me thinking of some poor sod that pissed Tinordi off! And got jarred like some jelly or jam, singular sense of humor I guess!:laugh::laugh:

How is Dietz's physical game? If im not mistaken he was pretty physical in junior.

DLR and McCarron just simply aren't going to be Centers at the NHL level. It's fine, they will beef up our wing position which is what we need.

All the talk about trading Eller is non-sense. We know what his production is and that it increases in the play-offs. He's a 30 point center with good size, good puck possession, solid in the face-off dot and can be physical. DLR-Eller-Sekac is going to be an excellent 3rd line for a long time.

Eller has been the better offensive player at every level by a huge margin. This non-sense way of thinking needs to stop. There's no part of DLR's game that is currently better than Eller's, with only his defensive game having the potential to pass Eller. DLR is most likely going to play wing on Eller's line, not replace him at center.
