If Johnny played with an actual #1 center and and a non PTO winger his value would be a lot higher. He can’t do everything himself and Monahan is beyond useless.

Whoever lands him will likely win the deal.

see his value is that high though. Because GMs are not HF posters with hot takes. The guy is a superstar and any GM that is half competent will know that.

Huge no from Boston. Frederic has potential to evolve into a top notch power forward. Beecher who is a 6'3" 200 + pound center at 19, has enormous upside. Debrusk having a down year will hopefully bounce back, he has the work ethic and most predict he will and I wouldn't gamble that he won't. Nope.

Calgary has had one forward look competent this year. Of course that's the forward people put in proposals. If I was GM, Gaudreau would be the most untouchable forward on our roster. Trade him and even if things go well with the futures you get, you'll just wish you could have Gaudreau back in the future

Lol at the biased Calgary posters who acted like they were getting ripped off. This would be a massive haul, Boston would never give up that much.

At least two abrasive young players taken off the Bruins roster along with other futures for one 5'7" player. I like it from an Atlantic Division rival point of view.

If I’m looking at Boston’s potential playoff opponents:

Think Gaudreau would be good against Pitt.

Think he’d be a wallflower some nights against the NYI, good some others

Think he’d be in the hospital by the second period of game two vs Washington

Sooooo, gonna hard pass on him at this time. For his health.

How does Lil Johnny 8ball fit into the winning culture of Beantown? This would be the beginning of the end of Boston being a top 5 team year after year after year.

I'd think him scoring a clutch goal to win a NCAA championship for Boston College would help.

Also a gold medal at the WJC and a USHL championship.

But what does he know about winning? He's only won at every level.

The Flames make the playoffs precisely zero times in the last 6 years without Gaudreau.

Well said, all I can see is Tom Wilson run over him like a train.

Hall also won at every level before the NHL...

If he’s being traded to a better team, he won’t be THE guy anymore facing the brunt of the opposition’s attention.

As a Pens fan, I’m more than happy to take him if no one else does lol.

Because he has never played against physical players in the much more physical western conference? Trying to hit Gaudreau/Kane types is like trying to hit smoke. There is a reason I can count on one hand the number of times he's gotten hammered despite seeing every NHL game he has ever played.

Did he win a world junior gold medal?
Two world Championships, two memorial cups. That's 4 championships, including MVP both years, game winning goal in OHL championship, Hlinka Gold. I didnt know WJC was the only way to judge if someone is clutch or not?

I didn't say that, I was just asking because I was unsure.

I wouldn't consider a WHC gold really all that impressive, not a true best on best and Canada is always loaded.
