So much for that bromance we had a week ago, hey.

This is what we all wanted...right? Nice to be rivals again.

I like it. Feels good to be a playoff team again making rivals through **** like this. Annoyed how ridiculous 90% of posters have reacted to this though. Sure lets have a rivalry but no need to personally attack players/coaches and posters because two teams aren't holding hands and cuddling all game. I was absolutely stoked until I read the main board threads.

Yeah I love how the ref just stands there in the background with his thumb up his ass watching Stajan getting beat down while laying on his back.

Edit or doing the same thing watching the other fight.

Good thing they escorted Ferland off clearly he was the problem

best part is people claiming the refs are trying to get the penalties right yet Engellend still gets 3 game misconducts and an instigator for god knows what.

The main board is just... no words. So much ******** being spewed. It angers me.

I should just log off before I say something I regret.

Yep, I got pretty rattled after seeing all of the Nucks fans coming in laughing about hitting Stajan while down. Anything else, whatever, we said they're dirty, they said we are dirty. But to laugh at how your known scrappy player took down a non-fighter and proceeded to hit him in the face while down is just embarrassing. This isn't UFC, and Vancouver is not a war zone, guess the Canuck fans are just gutless. Until tomorrow, gents.

Looking back at the replay, I agree with you in that Hamhuis didn't intend to fight Engelland there, and it looks like Hamhuis protected Engelland's head when all three of them went down.

I wonder if a third player is still able to join a fight though, regardless of the intention. If you're a guy like Engelland who sees another player come in, he won't perceive it as someone coming in to separate the fight, which is exactly why he took both on.

Hamhuis is probably the most 'gentleman' of the whole Canucks team (after the twins). He's talented, top pairing #2 guy who can throw a big hipcheck and shut down your star player..so you'll hate him, but he's so so so far from dirty. It would not surprise me at all if he tried to protect Engelland's head as they all fell down. Classy guy and soft spoken guy. Ive met him 3 times :)

So, do you guys think Raymond will get to play a game? With how physical the rest of these games are going to be, we will need guys like Bollig and Ferland more than Raymond.

if Bennett is really hurt then we'll see Raymond, for better or worse

last change for games 3 and 4. Don't disappoint me, C of Red

Yeah it gets nasty, but it's expected, sadly. I don't think anyone truly means what they say...heat of the moment.

Sorry you had to hear that. Not cool...coming from a Nucks fan.

No one should laugh at a hit when anyone's down.

Some of the things said should never be expected. I never expected anyone to bring up Stajan's deceased baby.

Just finished watching the game. I dont think anything happened that would require suspensions or other additional penalties. I mean the rulebook might say differently (Engelland for instigating), but I'm really surpised that some Canucks fans think that their players did nothing wrong.

Is it really that difficult to admit that what Hamhuis did was stupid / cowardly? He clearly went as a 3rd man into fight. Worth suspension, no. Stupid, absolutely. Same thing with Richardson. I mean, it was starting to be really ridiculous with all the semantics... "No, Richardson didnt punch Stajan when he was lying on his back." --> gif of the situation --> "He just attempted to hit him while he was lying sideways, not on his back". Not direct quotes but you'll get the idea.
